The hit dog yelps

You mistake a bark for a yelp. I see my role as that of a guard dog. I will bark at you the minute I detect your presence.

I am flattered though, if you are not "curiosity" posting under a different name, you have been following my commentary. Hopefully you will continue to do so and learn something.

I am trying to understand how the Sheriff can handle this.

As I see, there is a complaint that a forged birth document has been circulated in Maricopa county.

An investigation is then opened to see if this is the case. If it appears to be so, then felony charges can be pressed against the individuals involved.

If this is the case, can a sheriff issue a warrant for a sitting POTUS?

Next, if the document is found to be a forgery, then would the next step be to see if perjury has been committed in signing an affidavit that claims NBC status? I think this one is harder to prove since the NBC definition is still wishy washy for many.

I also see that if the birth record is deemed to be a forgery, if presented to the AZ Secretary of State for the 2012 election, that it would constitute a crime, punishable by what?

Just trying to see how the logical progression works. Have multiple SSNs or the 1890 SSN been used in Maricopa county?

Bravo for a five-star post! Please notice that I have asked any number of these gadflies to define “birther”. They absolutely refuse to do it. I guarantee any definition they come up with would exclude me, and yet they come at me with that pejorative as if flinging it out there alone wins the argument. There is Big Time anger, hatred and irrationality on the ‘anti-birther’ side. I encounter it every day. For the folks who are supposed to be the smart ones, they sure say some ugly things. I.e.: why are so many insults necessary, if they have rationality, the facts and logic on heir side?

PS: I am wondering more and more about the Soros connection. Most of the anti-birther research can be traced back to one or another group funded by Soros. Since when do so many conservatives take leftist talking points and regurgitate them unexamined? Something strange is going on here, and I hope we eventually find out what it is.

The political damage caused by being excluded from the ballot

I guess you didn't understand. Being excluded is meaningless because he wasn't legally on any ballots in 2008 and he won't be on any ballots in 2012. We vote for electors because that's how all the States choose electors. Such electors do not even have to be chosen by vote. A State could choose to have its governor appoint the electors or even choose them by lot. The chosen electors are the ones who vote for President. Read the Constitution.

Your evidence matches what ‘Dreams from My Father’ author Bill Ayers wrote in his own memoir ‘Fugitive Days’ (Ch 25):

“We soon figured out that the deepest and most foolproof ID had a government-issued Social Security card at its heart, and the best source of those were dead-baby birth certificates.

...Those poor souls had typically been issued birth certificates—available to us at any county courthouse for a couple of bucks and a simple form with information I could copy from the death announcement at the archive of the local paper—but they had never applied for a Social Security card.

Collecting those birth certificates became a small industry...”

The term "birther" doesn't bother me. I treat it the way the Founding Patriots did the British's attempts to mock them with the song "Yankee Doodle." It was written by a British doctor as an attempt at Propaganda and Psy-Ops. British troops would sing it at gatherings of Americans to impugn them and call them unmanly. (The song refers to effete and unmanly characteristics of the "American Dandy." The "Macaroni Club" was a famous gay bar in London at this time.)

Americans turned the tables on them when they started singing it at defeated British troops after a victory. They threw the taunt right back in the British faces, and made the song a piece of our National Patriotism!

PS: I am wondering more and more about the Soros connection. Most of the anti-birther research can be traced back to one or another group funded by Soros. I have long pondered this phenomena myself. There are people who are rock solid conservative who are absolutely "hatter mad" loons when it comes to Obama's birth certificate and eligibility. From 2008-2011, I regularly argued with the Denizens of "Ace of Spades HQ" up to and including Ace. Judging by Ace and co's posting of articles, they are by no means liberal. They are die hard Fiscal/Social conservatives, yet on this particular issue, they are foaming at the mouth rabid defenders of Obama.

My best theory to explain this is better said by this man and his article. I think this guy nailed it. Excellent article.

Cascade and herd theory seem to fit the facts perfectly.

From your post it is evident that one of us didn't understand. I am completely aware that the only election which counts is the one authorized by our constitution, that being of the Electoral college. What you aren't grasping is that our system has evolved over time in an extra-constitutional manner into a de facto one of direct election by voters. This is how the people of America see it. Sure, many of them are aware of the Electoral college, but for the vast bulk of them this is an abstract.

Americans BELIEVE that they are voting for a President, and depriving his name from the ballot, while being symbolic, will have REAL WORLD consequences. (They will vote for the opposition electors, or perhaps stay home.)

Electors ARE chosen by popular ballot, and the question is whether or not Obama's electors will be chosen, or his oppositions.

Symbolically keeping Obama's name off a ballot in any state (for not presenting appropriate credentials) will create a media fire storm and likewise seriously damage his appeal in all the other states as well.

I have the article you cited framed and hung on my wall in a place of honor, illuminated twenty-four hours a day by a special golden-hued light.

Okay, slight exaggeration, but that really is one of my favorites. As for Ace, I am a daily visitor to his site and I get where he’s coming from. There are some, Michelle Malkin included, who are very smart yet on some level insecure about their reputation in liberal and GOP-lite ‘intellectual’ circles. Iow, they’re terrified of being considered ignorant rubes, in part because of their conservative affiliations. So, to demonstrate their sophisticated brilliance, they seldom miss a chance to scoff at the poor, deluded folks who’ve fallen for birther conspiracies. They think it burnishes their uber-intelligent credentials, to be both conservative and yet ruthless in their mockery of birthers.

I have the advantage of them in that area. I know my IQ, and while I don’t want to boast, I never have to worry about being stupid. I have educated myself on Obama and his lies, and drawn some conclusions that preclude taking his birth narrative at face value. I don’t know all the details of his deception. There are many clues and I have some theories. Mostly I just want more openness and transparency with the original documents, so we can get definitely to the bottom of his lies.

Anyway, I’m glad you came over here. I love Ace, but life is too short to argue ‘birtherism’ with him. He’s not approaching it rationally; he’s approaching it from an emotional need to protect his reputation for brilliance. As such, no argument will ever permeate his psyche; he’s just not operating on that level.

Thank you for posting the link to the recent American Thinker article. I read it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was ammusing, especially the reference to the heard mentality. My family has always had cows and horses and their social structure is so similar to humans that my dad used to name certain cattle after people that they rmeinded him of.

This time through the article I realized that the author was making more serious points than I had realized the first time I read it. It actually does help to explain some of the behaviors we have observed, especially from people you would normally not expect to be defending Obama on any level. I hope that a few of these people might read the article and begin seeing the world from outside of the box that they have trapped themselves in.

Yeah, that's pretty much my assessment as well. Likewise with, Drew, Gabe, and possibly Monty as well. There is one commenter that I would love to get over here where I could pound on him for awhile. "Hollowpoint." He is a class one @sshole. Anyway, it's good to be here. No one gets their message put in bigger headlines than anyone else. Free Republic is more Democratic than Ace of Spades and other blogs which tend to be more dictatorial. I still read Ace of Spades every single day. It's a very good high quality blog, and though I disagree with them on the birther issue, I still regard them as allies.

As what is past is prologue, I'd like to beat the rush and denounce him now as a traitorous Obot sellout and betrayer of the Constitution rather than wait until after he ultimately explains to the AZ tea party that Birthers are full of it.

Plus, when Ace’s unique brand of humor plays just right, he keeps me laughing for a week. Did you read his short riff on why Wasserman-Shultz is his perfect woman? It was something about ‘dumb as a chicken’ coupled with his ego not requiring a good looking female to affirm it. I could never replicate his wording, but omc, I laughed till I hurt.
