Barack Obama skipped the 8th hole rather than be filmed by TV crews at the Vineyard Golf Course on Friday.
The Boston Globe reported:
But it was later, at the Vineyard Golf Course in Edgartown, where the president’s recalcitrance was most evident. Approaching the eighth tee in a golf cart with friend and frequent golfing buddy Eric Whitaker, the president noticed three TV cameras and a Globe photographer across the street.
Rather than stop and be photographed teeing off, the president skipped the hole.

Isn’t he left handed? That would make his swing look different but in all honesty, looks like he is going to make one of those “swooping” lunges at the ball.

Note also the position of the clubface at the top of the arc. How does he -- or anyone -- propose to get the clubface down into a proper striking position from there. From the photo, that positioning would likely be better for chopping cotton, except the backswing is too extended.
Crikey, my 8-year-old niece has better form than that, right this very minute.

Skipped 8 to avoid being photographed? What a baby. Can you imagine Ike acting like that? If it’s all right to be on a golfing vacation at the Vineyard, why not just enjoy the attention? I mean, gosh, he’s the President, or so they say, and it’s not like we don’t know he’s there. Sounds like he’s just about in meltdown mode. Reminds me of John Edwards heading for the service exit.
