Did Sarah Palin quit her job as governor when she was running for VP?

This week, a fictional character in Garry Trudeau's "Doonesbury" comic strip is reading passages the forthcoming biography "The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin" by Joe McGinniss, and then making a joke about what he read. (Readers of the strip can also see the passages the character reads.) This was done with Joe McGinniss's full approval and cooperation. So basically, Trudeau is Joe McGinniss's pimp.

Relatively speaking the Trib’s not all that bad. I see it from time to time when I’m in Chicago. I’m just not sure why anyone would carry Doonesbury in the first place.

Doonsebury hasn’t been the same since Uncle Duke voted for Obama, and Honey went to work for Hooter’s....

Additional proof that the left fears a Palin run.
Where is their satire of Romney? Or Perry?

“So basically, Trudeau is Joe McGinniss’s pimp.”
Well, sure; but OTOH, that makes McGinniss Trudeau’s b*tch.
Allow the man some positive spin - he needs it.

Yes, the penguin was Berkeley Breatheds Bloom County creation, Opus.
Bloom County was FAR from Doonsbury! There was a hilarious Sunday color strip about liberal-hunting. I have a little Opus doll my wife bought me still sitting in the livingroom -- damn, I loved that comic strip!
Trudeau was funny in his much younger days, though. He wasnt as ideological, and could see humor on both sides. Those days are long gone.
Agreed. Doonsbury was once funny, but that was decades ago.
Like so many liberals, Trudeau turned to vinegar as he aged; tart, bitter, and only worth dumping down the drain.

Bloom County was one of my favorites. I think Steve Dallas was my favorite character. A lovable sleeze. ;)

She quit after losing in the 2008 campaign but well before her term was over.

>>Does anyone even read Doonsbury?
I did 35 years ago when I was a teenager, and subscribed to the likes of Mother Jones, Rolling Stone, and The Nation.
Then I grew up.
