IS the "solar scandal" a crisis to be lifted to the front of the pages to hide Fast and Furious?

Just wondering, is this Solyndra "scandal" a crisis too good to pass up to hide the real truth of Fast and Furious? Interesting how much of the MSM is carrying this but COMPLETELY ignoring Fast and Furious....just saying. Comments/Opinions COMPLETELY WELCOMED!

Fast and furious mostly involves ATF bosses and people around the Attorney General. I can’t seem them ever briefing the White House on this or anyone in the administration. However, the solar energy scandal involves several key players in the administration and will make them look pretty stupid, and perhaps even idiots at any business concept. There is a difference between the two, and I seriously doubt that they wanted the solar company to fail (at least until after the 2012 election period).

I’m suspicious, just like you. This occurred to me.

Compared to, “black rich guys killing poor brown people with machine-guns” almost ANYTHING sounds better.

It’s kind of amazing that you don’t see the Solyndra situation as a scandal. Are you financially involved with them?

I dunno I can completely see them coming up with a “hey we thought we were doing something good to put people to work...I mean look and Frannie and Freddie.....we just didn’t see it coming”...BUT to sit there and try to deflect “hey yeah we knew we were selling guns to criminals but we thought we were touting the ‘greater good’ line”. I can see people swallowing a $500million loan more than guns to criminals that killed and are killing Americans and innocents...possibly 1K’s of innocents....

BTW I am not saying it isn’t a scandal...all I am saying is that this scandal may be more like a duck that won’t fly...but Fast and Furious, that is a fraking HAWK.....MSM ignoring Fast and Furious but reporting on Solyndra....just raises the cackles up on the back of my neck...

Who says they aren't both big deals?

You seem personally invested in the gun runner thing and for some reason choosing to ignore the fact that the President basically gave a half a billion dollars to a donor. Just what about that duck doesn't fly?

The continuous drumbeat of scandals is like Bimbo Fatigue, but really a lot more harmful.

Solyndra could be frighteningly serious because there is the potential that some of that US$535 million in loan guarantees to the company may have been diverted to Obama's 2012 political campaign. Now that's embezzlement on a scale that is unimaginable....

Humm seems my query may have been lost. Just seems interesting that the MSM will carry stuff on the Solyndra scandal and not the Fast and Furious Scandal....to me that says that there may be something that will stick more in Fast and Furious than Solyndra. Hence my query, MSM will carry & investigate Solyndra (as well as trying to pin it on a past administration)...but they have NOWHERE to go with Fast and Furious and really the BLOOD is on their hands....completely!

Ah, I see your point now. You originally lost me when you put “scandal” in quotes. That belittles it too much and distracts from your main point.

It’s serious but F and F involves murder.

I do think it’s possible if they cherry pick scndals they prefer this one. Although I do think it’s not all that. I think there pride is hurt. There was a column not to long ago about how these people lied to the face of these journalists and not long thereafter it fell. For some reason it doesn’t bother them when these people lie to others and it doesn’t bother them if they are aware of the lie being fed to them. but they become furious when someone tells them a lie and they aren’t “in” on the distortion. Same thing with weiner. You saw liberals ranting on FOX because THEY were personally betrayed. So there is some of that happening here too.

On Mark Levins show today he had an ex employee of Solandra call on the phone whom he had also talked to last week. She had some pretty salacious details about the whole thing. One detail in specific was that from the beginning (pre-construction) the company knew from the outset that China already had, and in production better technology and produced way cheaper than what Solandra was going to produce yet they forged ahead, took the money and built thier facility.

This thing is headed for a Republican controlled house investigation committee and I hope this kind of information comes forth before the committee.

This could very well be the scandal that finally brings Oblunder down. I would also bet that after yesterdays republican win in NY 9th that may dems gotta be wanting for oblunder to go down as a perfect excuse to run somebody else in ‘12.

Solyndra is a 535 million dollar taxpayer loan that this administration rammed through over the objections of OMB. On top of that incompetence, it greatly benefitted one of Obama’s major campaign donors, a billionaire who is now in line to be paid back first from the ashes of this boondoggle.

I would say this is a pretty big damned deal. It’s also much easier for the average American to understand and follow than Fast and Furious.

*winks* sometimes it is hard to convey meaning in an email/comment....they are both Scandals...I just have a feeling one is more “scandalous” than the other *smiles*

The Yahoo! spin on the AP story is that the Obama Administration was just too darn eager to try to save the American economy.

The notion that they could be incompetent, or even more absurd - corrupt, is not even to be considered by the media.

Ahhh see I agree...hence the reason the MSM is playing up the Solyndra “deal” and I also think the populace would be more “forgiving” with this scandal than Fast and Furious AND I also think that Fast and Furious is much more sinister and far reaching than Solyndra....

^tip MY POINT COMPLETELY!!!!!! They cannot claim that with Fast and Furious....Fast and Furious is where we need to keep the fire...if I had one to choose from, it would NOT be Solyndra...*hint hint*

We need a special prosecutor and we need him now. Impeach Obama! or at least check to see if anything wrong was done. You know the Dems would do this if conditions were reversed.

There's an advantage with the Fast and Furious story ~ as far as prosecutions are concerned ~ there's no statute of limitations on murder in this country. All the ATF types and their buddies in DOJ and the White House can be prosecuted at our leisure, and possibly even by a state government ~ Arizona perhaps!

Whether we get around to prosecuting Democrat murderers in 2012 or 2016 or even 2020 really doesn't matter politically.
