In 2008, Human Events polled their readers to find out what issues were most important to them. I have been waiting and waiting for more polls like this from them, but have been left wanting.
So, I decided to conduct the poll myself.
I asked around and looked at some various websites and pulled together 27 different issues that you could possibly care about most, including Human Events' Top Ten from 2008.
Please choose the one you think is most important right now. In the slim chance your most important issue isn't on the list, add it in the comments.
Also, if you've seen this poll on another site, please only vote once.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Regulations and jobs are not even on the list. Get out of here.
Illegal immigration.
Get rid of 15 million illegals and their offspring. Drop the unemployment rate like a stone. Welfare costs would go down substantially and the engine that drives future dem voter numbers is gone as well.
The other choices were equally important to me, but this would give the best bang for the buck if solved.
Abortion is #1. There is nothing more basic than life or death.
The first thing you need to get right is economics.
I think they need a choice: “Most of the above.”
Yes, I also voted for abortion. Life is the basic right that comes before all others.
But nearly all the others are serious issues.
Regulations and jobs ARE on the list.
Stop being so angry and rude.
They can start with the illegal in the Whitehouse!
Go tell it to Human Events. They had a pretty lackadaisical position on that too.
1. Illegal immigration — 86%
2. War on terrorism — 80%
3. Federal spending 65%
4. Supreme Court and other judicial appointments — 64%
5. Flat tax/tax cuts — 61%
6. Size of government — 61%
7. Iraq — 55%
8. Social Security — 45%
9. Entitlement programs — 38%
10. Abortion — 36%
You can maybe slide Regulations under Size of Government, but I don’t see Jobs in that list.
Regulations and jobs are not even on the list. Get out of here.
Amazing. Either ignorance or mind spinners. On further review they are political mind spinners.
I’d like to see Energy Independence on there. That would affect the economy/jobs/national security.
Sorry. I was working off the clickable link in the post thinking they were one in the same as what the poster was talking about.
No worries. I kind of figured you were after I saw a couple other people do the same.
