When your candidate or position is anti Conservative... it is progressive... one has to try to rationalize progressivism to try to deceive a true Conservative. These people are not even good at lying... the facade has been ripped away... there is no veneer left to hide the ugly truth.

You are wrong... Bush and Rove proved that to not defend against the lies... just ushers in an era of obama.

Since people seem to be confused a little on this point, let me stress that Palin is not suing Random House. Yet.

The point of this letter was to serve notice to Random House that a future lawsuit is possible, even probable, and that they are being reminded of their legal obligations to preserve records.

The INTENT of this letter is encourage Random House to pull the book and issue a retraction & apology rather than risk a lawsuit.

In any event, the statute of limitations (2 years, I believe) gives Palin plenty of time to now ignore this issue until after any 2012 election activities are complete. Even if such a suit were to proceed, Palin’s involvement would be minimal in the early stages.

My thoughts exactly. I believe that since Sarah has not been harmed financially by the book she probably is not seeking a serious, punitive, financial award. It’s her family’s good name and honor that has been besmirched and she rightfully deserves a retraction and an apology. Random House is probably going to wait a week or two to milk any possible sales and then pull it.

nice note. for all those who email Random House, thanks they need to hear from us average Americans.. I use a Kindle and buy some 150+ books a year, and my son illustrates for several publishers...Random House is NOT one of them, he's lucky otherwise he would get his 'butt' kicked..(kidding of course, he is 6'4 and I'm lucky to hit five feet!) have a great day all...and hurry up SARAH.♥

Thanks. :) These times are just right for "polarizing" figures.

I see more people each day waking up and picking sides. Some people at work who were for Romney watched "Undefeated", and came back with a whole new perspective on Palin and the media. Now they're searching for and reading other scary stuff, like news about the Gunwalker scandal.

but this is a mistake the more I think about it.

They went after her kids. And then they waved a smoking gun in front of her face. What would you do? What would you expect a POTUS to do?

” reading other scary stuff, like news about the Gunwalker scandal.”

Which just happens to be my one and only HUGE ping list.

Tiemessen is the owner of the law firm where Palin’s other lawyer Van Flein is a member. Looks like Tiemessen is a very successful lawyer in his field of litigation for such.

I very much doubt he and other members of the firm after past association with the Palin’s litigation's. And knowing the particulars (which none of us do) of this case, would recomend going foward unless they felt they were on very sound ground as to winning out in the end.

In war, as in politics, you choose your enemies carefully. Sarah waited until an enemy of known repute was in a vulnerable position, then she strikes hard and fast.

If she defeats this very significant enemy, her lesser enemies will give great pause before antagonizing her in the future.

Works in both Firefox and old IE6 for me. However, it is a PDF embedded in the HTML page. Because it starts then stalls it might be a problem with your PDF reader.

“These terms like “unelectable” and “damaged goods” are right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook.”

That’s because they are. The MSM along with the Dems set out to create a public perception that she is “crazy” and can’t raise a family and be POTUS at the same time and the MSM said it so often that the perception became reality in the minds of many.

The MSM managed to brainwash a majority of people into thinking that she isn’t electable and is damaged goods.

Right out of the Alinsky playbook.

I would love to see her as POTUS, but the MSM will never allow it.

Why else have they engaged in a 3 year attack on her, and why do they continue to do so?

It’s unprecedented and borderline criminal behavior what they have done to Palin, but changing people’s minds about her just isn’t going to happen.

Even if she proves every lie and smear about her to be incorrect, most people won’t admit that they were wrong and that they were fooled by the media.

She may have a chance in 2016, but 2012 isn’t realistic.

Sarah is awesome. but this is a mistake the more I think about it. Ronald Reagan and Dwight Eisenhower (great leaders) wouldn’t have dropped down to that level just to defeat this little sewer rat. It isnt worth the time.

I strongly disagree. Sarah has been pursuing this moose for a while, and it turned and exposed itself. This is Sarah not only exploding every BS rumor, destroying liberals, their memes, AND potentially collecting very large dollars with lots of zeros in damages in ONE SINGLE SHOT. I think it's a typical Sarah Palin out-of-the-box angle to be extremely effective with her ammo. Extremely effective. She has shown herself to be a great hunter and exquisite gamesman, er woman.

Levi, the self-admitted liar is also coming out with a book of smears and lies against Bristol and the Palin family.

She should do the same and sue them as well.

That makes sense. I just think taking on a publisher pushes one more into ‘celebrity’ territory—along with the Discovery show and her tabloid stuff (not her fault, but it’s there), it makes her less prestigious. Before you leap, I’m not saying to US but to those she needs to convince she isn’t what the MSM have said. But I see your point about choosing her battles.

To those who think the lawsuit would be a mistake on Sarah’s part:

If she won’t fight for herself and her family, why would we think she would fight for us.

Sue, Sarah, Sue!
