Where, exactly, is the threat to the National Security of the United States in, uh, Uganda?
Maybe its just my natural paranoia, or, it could be that after nearly three full years of watching Obamas slight of hand, and misdirection of Americas attention, I suspect something more going on than we are led to believe.
Now we are learning that US troops are already on the ground in Uganda, AND, will (according to an ABC News report) ultimately go to South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the permission of those countries.
If my math is correct, the US is now currently engaged in military actions in four countries simultaneously. If, and when, the US troops move across the borders in Africa, we will have military operations in not four, but SEVEN countries.
Is Obama now on a crusade to save the dark continent? Whats really going on I mean besides Obama sucking up to leftists bleeding heart groups that will not accept that no one can save Africa but AFRICA!
Obama says: although the U.S. forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense. Uh-huh.
Can you say VIETNAM???
Is the average age of Americans now so young that we must deduce that America no longer remembers the colossal mistake, humongous blunder, in Vietnam that cost the lives of over 50,000 US servicemen and women? In the event that you do not remember
THIS is the way it began.

As I understand it, George Soros has oil interests in Uganda.
As far as the LRA is concerned, the leaders are brutal animals who need killin but I’d rather pay Blackwater to do the job than send American troops in there.
Maybe when the body bags start coming home the ignorant public will wake up to this pukes agenda.
Yeah, I'm sure The MSM will have extensive coverage of the body count and graphic uncensored live combat reports of US casualties from the front lines, just like they did in Vietnam.
Just as soon as the democrats are out of the White House...
Soros sits on the board of the International crisis group and they have been calling for America to get involved in Uganda for several years now.

This can only end badly. There are no national interests at stake here, the LRA is still there but is broken into factions and has been on the run for some time. Why has this military commitment been made? We have a right to know why and the administration has an obligation to tell us.
Nobody wins in Africa. It is a cesspool of tribal conflict, animist religions and even sorcery and witchcraft as major influences of actions. For a place to be the alleged cradle of man it has certainly been bypassed by everyone else in the world.
This has worse than Vietnam written all over it because it has even less reason than fighting communism. This is like a fight against the wind.
If the LRA is so dangerous the most efficient way to deal with it is to covertly hunt down the leaders, kill them, wait for successors to emerge, kill them, withdraw and wait for further successors to emerge then wash, rinse and repeat.
Tail wagging the dog. I guess he could not find an asprin factory to bomb.
No conspiracy here.
So did you write the check for the full cost of this?
If so, thank you because the taxpayers sure can’t afford it.
I thought we retired from being the “Peace-Keeper of the World” when we were financially broke .
There is something else afoot here ...
The international crisis group has been pushing us toward this since at least 2007.
“No conspiracy here.”
??????? A year and one half ago the Dems were totally in control of Congress, and Obama in the WH doin’ unchecked just as they please.
Everything they were doing was/is a conspiracy AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. They are the enemy within.
Thats not our job. I’m not in favor of sending our kids
to go nation building. Thats the Peace Corps job.
If Uganda needs help with its internal security let them hire experts in that field.
We need to allow people to self limit their own populations, and also quit sending them food and medicine. In the chase to make the lives better of the starving orphans in Africa and elsewhere, we make it a certainty that they will survive to breeding age. The people then have more children that they cannot afford, or cannot acquire enough food or shelter to support them. We then need to send more food and medical supplies. They need to be allowed to live or die by their own efforts. It is a cold and bold statement, but what else is there to do? When these countries make the step to become a “nation” that has food enough for all, maybe then they can worry about saving the poorest among them. For those that say even we in America have the starving and homeless, I say please, quit the BS. Our “hungry” are typically 30 lbs overweight, and the homeless are those that have been rejected by their own families, because of addiction or thieves.
It sure is, as long as the Peace Corps is not funded by tax moneys.
All Barry did was send in a Special Forces company and the 500 person support staff, which Congress asked him to do a year and a half ago following the failure of the UN. They will help train, arm and organize the local islamists to fight those thugs to ensure that the muslims can take over central africa.
No conspiracy here.
edited for truth.....
“Maybe when the body bags start coming home the ignorant public will wake up to this pukes agenda.”
No. The media will cover it up, or ignore it completely. Like in... what’s going on in Libya?
CRICKETS from the media.
The ignorant public will continue to be ignorant.
You are correct, there are plenty of mercenaries available in South Africa.
The cost of deploying a Special Forces company is nothing in comparison to the defense budget. This isn’t another Iraq or Afghanistan or even Libya. This isn’t a national liberation war. It’s just a bunch of thugs headed by a psycho. Our friends need a little help and we’re giving it to them.
