Egyptian authorities closed the Great Pyramids after receiving reports that Jews or Freemasons might attempt to harness the mysterious powers inherent in them by performing a mysterious ceremony at 11:11 A.M. on Nov. 11, 2011. Fortunately, they were thwarted. When the danger had passed the Egyptians spoke out with relief.
Speaking by phone from the pyramids after 11:11 had passed, al-Asfar said hed seen nothing out of the ordinary. Everything is normal, he said. The only thing different is the closure of the Khufu pyramid.
The Egyptian authorities were making the wrong associations. It is to the name Carter that these mysterious monuments must forever be linked. There is for example, Howard Carter, discoverer of Tutankhamuns tomb. It is said that the British archaeologist brought upon himself the curse of the pharoahs for daring to defile the ancient burial place. Many of those associated with the Tutankhamun expedition died in strange circumstances shortly thereafter.

Feel the power ping.
Why should Jews give a hoot about a mystical looking date on the Gregorian calendar?!?
Freemasons, I couldn’t speak to.
It’s the radical Muslims that have a history of destroying antique religious sites.
Wow - I better hustle over to my Masonic Lodge and find out how we got into the Egypian pyramid business. (sarc).
I've known Jews named Gregory. There must be something to that. Now excuse me while I go check my pyramid.
I don't know but I'll bet some Jewish guy was the middleman. ;-)
“Why should Jews give a hoot about a mystical looking date on the Gregorian calendar?!?”
Good point. Besides that, Jews don’t revere buildings, with the exception of the Temple (of which the Western Wall is all they have left).
Freemasons use pyramids as one of their mystical symbols, and they are fans of “sacred geometry” in buildings like the pyramids, so at least there is some connection there. As far as I know, though, the ones who believe in “pyramid power” are the Bahai, Edgar Cayce followers, and various new age kooks.
There are a few Christian-ish theories about the pyramids too, but none that believe in any mystical ceremonies or pyramid power, at least none that I’ve heard of.
I-M-O-T-E-P!
And the only reason the Temple got this attention is because God had a special presence there unique in the world, particularly in the Ark that sat in the Holy of Holies which doesn’t exist today (and who knows where the Ark went, if it didn’t get demolished).
Freemasonry... well they’re weird. Very weird. A Freemason got the pyramid-eye on the back of the modern $1 bill, which shows how much attention is paid to such things.
Yep - Freemasons are so wierd that 14 US Presidents were Masons along with one of my heros John Wayne, and countless other great men.
Everyone at my chapter of the Jewish Masonic Association for a New World Order says it’s 12-12-12 when we “roll” and I wasn’t supposed to say that so count yourselves lucky.
“Jews or Freemasons”
This sounds like a “Muslim Brotherhood” issue, or something the Iranian Mullah’s would worry about.
Here we would call it “tinfoil hat stuff”.
They both are always talking about the “Elder’s of Zion” nonsense, as if it were real.
But you should expect it, they also believe in the 12th Imam.
Anybody that thinks Eqypt is better off after Hosni Mubarak is does not understand what happened when he was ousted.
Obozo engineered it to put his extremist friends in power.
Enough said?
I just knew there'd be an Irish guy in there somewhere. ;-)
Here’s what I freepmailed to another, unnamed Mason who gave me a kinder answer than what I came up with here. I don’t claim my walk to be any paragon of virtue on this earth. But I hope this better explains where I’m coming from.
Oh, Im sure youre right, Masons are generally nice people to meet.
Its the spirituality thats weird. The Christian faith, unlike the Jewish faith, doesnt really invite a lot of esoteric mysticism. You got the New Testament, and depending on what branch of the church you go to, you might have some church traditions... and thats it. And most of the serious Christian church (as well as, incidentally, Orthodox Judaism) has managed to give Freemasonry the official frown. Theres especially no place in New Testament theology for a parallel system of mysticism. I take that seriously and would say to a Mason, your system is intriguing, but Im not going to explore it. Theres something more important to me.
Even today, many sects in Judaism, have their Rabbis learn about/study the Kabbalah.
European Alchemists were Christians and besides being scientists, of a sort, they were also delving into different pathways.
Jesus expelled "demons", which is something some might see as kinda "weird", today. Turning water into wine? Raising the dead? And you're claiming that the NT doesn't have esoteric stuff in it it ? What about nuns and lay people having "visions" ? Opus Dei anyone ?
Secret and/or fraternal/charitable societies have been around from time immemorial. That many have died out/are dieing out now, is mostly due to modern technology and the fact that face to face communication is on the wane. We "socialize" in private now....through the net, Blackberries, etc.!
Linking Masons and Jews ( not to mention bankers ) to terrible things, goes back to the French Revolution, when a crazy French aristo Roman Catholic Abbe, who had fled to England, wrote a terrible tract about how it was the Jews and Masons who fomented the French Revolution. That POS garbage was expanded upon, more than a century later, when the original THE PROTOCOLS OF THE ELDERS OF ZION was written and made it's way to many different nations. It was this bilge that Hitler and Communists expanded and built on. And WHY Henry Ford, who was a Mason, but also a staunch anti-Semite put in the glove compartment of ALL of his cars, for a long time, until he was stopped, I do not understand.
What has ALWAYS scared those who have been "scared" of/hate Masons, is the fact that they accept ALL good men......no matter their race or religion, as long as they believe in GOD!
Freemasonry is NOT and never has been a "religion" !
You’re welcome! :-)
