The headlines last week were filled with outrage over the revelation that former Philadelphia School Superintendent Arlene Ackerman has filed for $573 a week in unemployment compensation, the maximum amount in Pennsylvania.

No to affirmative action.
Haven’t been laid off yet.
My time’s a coming, though.....
And I’m atypical :)
What do they care? It's taxpayer money. It's not like they're accountable for spending it.
Philadelphia need to tune it’s system a tad.
In PA, severance pay doesn’t count against receiving unemployment. If she wasn’t fired for cause, she collects.
These affirmative action millionnaires don’t have to earn their stash the old-fashioned way, by earning it. They can just get it from the almost-empty government trough. A prime example is the fraudulent payment of billions of dollars to non-existent Black “farmers” by the USDA.
I hope she has to fill out a bi-weekly form stating the places she applied for a job. ;-)
If she ran a model school district which was the envy of the nation, then she would be worth much more than $348,000 a year.
But the Philadelphia School District is a disaster and she is utterly incompetent. That’s why they wanted to get rid of her. They couldn’t just fire her for incompetence, so they offered her a $900,000 carrot - also taxpayer’s money.
But the sheeple of Philly will keep voting in the incompetents.
