I was thinking... (always a dangerous thing)
As marvelous an AT weapon as the Hellfire is, it seems sub-optimal as an area anti-personnel system. The blast is tightly focused forward, like a good AT round should be, and there seems to be little in the way of fragmentation side-spray. It seems like a lot of mooj are walking away from very close proximity blasts.
Could we not develop a weapon that is fired from the same platform, guided by the same system, but optimized for personnel casualty-producing effects? Maybe a Hellfire ICM round?
Now that there would be entertainment!

Indeed. I saw many walk away after the blast. The idiot on the motor cycle.. well... maybe the 4th time was a charm?
I suspect they are using this type of round because the ROE dictate it. Don’t want any civilians caught in the blast I guess.
