Newt Gingrich "The Unfaithful"
Conservative Blogs Central ^ | Friday, December 16 | BC

Posted on 12/17/2011 6:50:32 AM PST by conservativeBC

This is sure to bring on the wrath of the Gingrich settlers, but it needs to be said. There is no need to click on the source link, because it says the same thing there.

How many of you have lived through the experience of an unfaithful spouse?

If you have you know that a cheater doesn't just tell one little white lie. In order to cover their trail of deceit, they have to become serial black liars. A person who has cheated has told thousands of lies, to their spouse, their friends, their coworkers, their families and to themselves.

If you are among the millions that have suffered the misfortune of being married to this type of person you know what they are. They are the type of people who can look you in the eye and tell you lie after lie, half truth after half truth, and never show even a hint of remorse.

Newt Gingrich is a man who has done this to not just one women, but to two. And at least one of them was deathly ill, if not both of them.

Think about that. Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. Think about being married to someone sorry enough to do that to you.

To the people have been there, or have had family go through this, you know how devastating it is. And you know all too well what kind of a person it takes to do it.

So how could you ever support this man when you have so many running who as Rush, Beck, and Mark Levin says can beat Obama? Any of them can win.

Don't believe what the establishment is trying to convince you of. All of these candidates are electable. It was their stupidity that gave us John McCain. How did that work out for you?

Don't settle. We are better than that.

Even if you believe Newt Gingrich when he says that he has ask for forgiveness and has become a better person, you should forgive but you would be foolish to forget.

I would be willing to forgive Sandusky if he repented, but he still has to be punished. And it would be a cold day in hell before he babysitted my boy.

The same with Newt. I can forgive, but I am not about to hand him the levers of power when there are still other choices.

I would -- as a last resort -- vote for him over Obama; because they are both liars. But any of the candidates running are better than Newt Gingrich. Even a hard core RINO like Romney, and a first class nut job like Ron Paul.

At least they have some integrity.

Look at their accomplishments. Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.

Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.

Romney is one evil liberal progressive. No way in hell will MittBots be allowed to support this abortionist, big government, socialist scumbag on FR!

Guess my message isn’t clear enough. I have to keep repeating it and zotting would be MittBots.

To which Alex Murphy says: “Well said!”

Jim - perhaps they have not heard the word yet. Romney is the RINO of the year. Maybe you can re-explain the facts to them?

I dare say, you are also among the millions that haven’t been taking care of business in the bedroom...

(sorry, it had to be said)

If the Republican nominee came down to Romney vs Gingrich, I would vote for neither of them. Romney's a liar and Gingrich is a backstabber. But Romney has remained married to the same woman for 40+ years, a feat which Newt cannot equal. At least Romney has some morals.

“People who cheat on spouses like Newt are not immoral, they are amoral. And they do not recover from that kind of selfishness; they simply learn how to talk and convince others they have changed.”

And you know this, How? Have you been there and done that?

So cheating is your issue.

Has Romney cheated? Can you say that with 100% confidence?
Has Bachmann cheated? Can you say that with 100% confidence?
Has Paul cheated? Can you say that with 100% confidence?

With Gingrich, I know his personal flaws, but I also know his record in office.

I can live with the personal flaws.

Is that your opinion, or God's??

Well when I read God's book, it states adulterers will not see His Kingdom very clearly so I have to assume that is God's opinion. Many places in the Bible, adultry is equated with homosexuality and that is because they are so damaging spiritually and emotionally.

Here's three just for starters about adultry: ICor 6:9. Ephesians 5:5. Galatians 5: 19-21.

Tell the truth Alex, you voted for Reagan, yes? The divorced Ronnie versus the married to the same woman Jimmy Carter. Right?

The truth is that Gingrich is a Catholic and that causes you heartburn, right?

I can live with his personal flaws, too, should Newt become the republican candidate. God is the one to judge, not us...I seem to recall only those without sin get to cast that first stone. Hey, if there is a purest of the pure out there, he/she would be better suited to lead people via a vocation in the religious community, instead of being wily enough to deal with the low life leaders of many countries America has to deal with nowadays.

Neither - I didn't vote for Reagan or Carter. I didn't cast a vote in any presidential election until 1988. FWIW, I voted for Bush Sr.

The truth is that Gingrich is a Catholic and that causes you heartburn, right?

Mindread much?

Forgiveness first necessitates repentence. David's confession and change of attitude is an example in the Old Testament. He wanted to die because he finally realized how much damage he had done. After recognizing what he had done, David also realized he could no longer be the big important man he had been previously.

I don't see any change in attitude with Newt Gingrich. He is just as arrogant as ever, even worse really.

Since his conversion, what I have seen from him is grotesque chutzpah as he has denied his despicable treatment of his ex-wife and even tried to paint serial adultery as a consequence of his intense love of country.
“There’s no question that at times in my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard, and that things happened in my life that were not appropriate.”
For the sake of argument, let’s completely check our brains at the door and believe this disgusting excuse for his double treason toward his family. What conclusion should we draw from it? My conclusion is, “For the sake of his soul, never let this man near power again just as I would never reassign a pedophile priest to work with children again.” But according to Newt, the solution to the corrupting effects of power that, by his own admission, led to his downfall is to make him the most powerful man on earth....

....I remember the Gingrich conservatives who said of the phonily contrite Bill Clinton, “If a man will lie to and betray his own wife, why should you think he will tell the truth to his constituents?
-- excerpted from Mark Shea's 11/24 blog entry titled Why I Will No More Vote for Gingrich Than Obama

....when he spoke on Dobson's radio show in 2007, Gingrich refused to say that he was actually repentant. The evangelical leader repeatedly pressed him on that point: "When I hear you talk about this dark side of your life...you didn't mention repentance. Do you understand that word repentance?"
-- from the thread Newt and Evangelicals: Not a Match Made in Heaven

I’m pretty sure the boss doesn’t need you to tell him how to respond to posters on his site. Perhaps you should carry on a debate yourself rather than crying to daddy.

All of the candidates are flawed in one way or the other AND all of them are better than the nazi that is in the WH now. Gingrich is not a serial womanizer like Slick Willie and his dalliances are not in the top three reasons he is flawed (try amnesty for #1). Romney IS a serial flip-flopper (perhaps even an outright liar) but his debate comments are to the right of Gingrich.

Just because people are critical of Gingrich does not mean they are for Romney. You should try to handle the discourse on your own in the future.
