“Or, was it a select crowd that would hoot and holler no matter what Christie or Romney said? Pick your audience and, voila!, amazingly you get the response you want.”
Amazing, a conspiracy under every rug, eh? Do you live in reality or make believe land?
“...a conspiracy under every rug, eh?”
Sorry, ma’am, it just happens to be the way the Game of Politics is played. I’d have thought any savvy FReeper knew that.
You see, what happens is that the campaigns advise their people that the candidate and/or Joe Blow will be at such and such a place on a certain date and at a certain time. They then work the phone banks to assure that their local supporters will be at the event. It’s so simple, so common and routine, but hardly conspiratorial. In the political world it’s called “advance” work.
In the case of the pre-IA caucuses and the coffee shops appearances, there are always unsuspecting customers, which is also part of the game.
Did you really believe any of this is random and/or spontaneous? That’s precious.
Fuggedaboudit, fat bastard Christie.
Exactly what I was thinking...some of these comments sound no different than the pathetic liberals who react in mock outrage over any innocent comment by a conservative and demand an apology.
