My sons and I went up into the foothills here in Idaho on New Year's Eve to celebrate the New Year in our own pecular way...with a Savage Firearms .308 hunting rifle (which needed its scope zeroed in) and my FAL .308 and Rueger Mini-14 .223.
Lot's of fun! Click on the pic or link for the video.
Hope you enjoy!
Yep...mine was a lot due to the instability I still have as a result of nerve damage to feet and legs resulting from cutting the entire sacrum out...nerve roots and all.
Told my boys there how the quick four shots there at the end were pushing me back...but if you watch the kickup on the rocks...I held on target pretty well. There’s a small target down near the lower portion of the rocks I was trying to pepper a bit.

Thank you my FRiend...but trudging the hills is a little beyond me. I can get my pickup up there and then walk around in those not too inclined areas like where we were shooting from.
Heading up the side hill would have been a much longer and more difficult task. But I am very happy to be able to do as much as I can!.
I suppose if it came down to it, I’d be the guy holding the line while everyone else made tracks out, LOL!
Thanks, Marine!
God bless you and yours, and God’s speed.
We had a lot of fun.
I'd be there with ya' for the same reason.
I REALLY miss cuttin' firewood with my boys out in the woods.
Hell ... usein' a chain saw for any longer than 15 minutes demands a sitdown to let the hotpain go away ... then I'm good for another 15 ... etc.
You need some Obama bobble-heads for targets....and you'll never miss!

Awesome. Love the FAL. Looks like a great place to have some fun.
Then I’d be in good company and they would buy that position dearly.
I've been looking though at Robinson Arms XCR...they make awesome semi-autos with high grade replacable barrels. I want one in .223 and .308...basically two high grade weapons in one.
Nice to see you mobile.
Thanks for sharing Jeff, great video. Nice to see you doing well also.
Hubby and I went to the range last Friday. Boy was it crowded! It is getting increasingly harder to get on the range in a decent amount of time (some had to wait almost 2 hours to shoot on the pistol range). Mind you, this was an indoor range but our outdoor range is just as hard to get on if you don't get there before 9:30 - 10:00 am.
I take this as a good sign! :)
2011 was the biggest year for gun sales in history.
A sure fired message to all statists and tyrant wanna-bes.
Nice!
Thank you and God bless you mt FRiend!
Thank you my friends. Glad and blessed to be able to do so...and we had a lot of fun while we were at it.
Wooooo-hoooooo! Glad you’re still around. Whose land was that on?
Jeff, how absolutely wonderful it is to see you looking so healthy and having such fun with your sons. As my son once said, “making memories”. God bless you and yours in this new year.
Now, I would like to have one of those.
And with it being a .22 you can burn off some clips without breaking the bank.
