Yes, Perry continues to be the true conservative remaining in this race.

I don't know why he's been getting hammered relentlessly on this conservative forum. Well, I do know. It had nothing to do with his policies and everything to do with the timing in which he entered. He was viewed as a threat to a favorite non-candidate here so the Perry bashing started relentlessly right out of the gate. Nonetheless, she's not here and Perry is. Perry is strong on job creation, domestic energy, government deregulation, pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. And he has a record to back it up. Additionally, he doesn't have a closet full of skeletons. He's been thoroughly vetted by Austin liberals who have spent a decade failing to dig up dirt on him. Yet all we hear are "Gardasil" and "La Raza Ricardo". And somehow Santorum and Gingrich are the "conservatives" in this race?

So Perry can't debate. So what? Gingrich will carve Obama up in the debates and then get his ass handed to him in the general election! Is this what we want? And Santorum? Take away his pro-life accolades and he's just another big-spending, pork barrel, bail-outing Republican.

This election is going to be about jobs and the economy --something that Perry has dealt with successfully and has a record to prove it. He can beat Obama.

I'm not a Perry supporter, and I don't know a whole lot about him, but I think it's silly that some people are saying he should drop out of the race, simply based on his poor showing in Iowa. Remember, John McCain came in 4th in Iowa in 2008.

I heard something interesting tonight, on another site. This may be completely wrong, but some people were saying that contrary to how it looks now, Mitt Romney might not be the establishment's "pick." They were saying that they think Perry is going to end up being the establishment's guy. He does kinda remind me of Dubya in some ways. No offense to any of you who support him, but from what I have gathered about him, I get the feeling he is another big-government wolf in sheep's clothing, disguised as a conservative...which would just mean a continuation of the same road we've been on. I don't know about anyone else, but I strongly feel that if we don't reverse the course we've been on, we're in big trouble. And we're running out of chances, so I hope people will finally snap out of this slumber they've been in, and realize that we're being played like fools.

Perry is no conservative and they are certainly not voting for him. Did you miss yesterday or are you just choosing to ignore it?

Your hero has gone from joke of a candidate to being a real threat of assisting Romney in every state. He needs to go and soon.
