Rick Perry says he's going on to campaign in Florida's Jan. 31 Republican presidential primary - no matter how he fares in South Carolina.

Before reading any posts here, I know I am gonna be seriously ticked off after I read them.

I am trying to remember my pledge this morning not to respond to stupidity.

We’ll see if I hold up.

Santorum staying in the race hurts Perry and he’s a ghastly candidate.

Not responding to nastiness either.

Especially when it’s combined with stupidity.

I just realize you are being sarcastic. Or probably being sarcastic. If so, my bad.

I don’t want Rick Perry to drop out.

I want Texas to be first in the primaries.

If I really liked Rick Santorum, ... but I can’t stand him.

If I really liked Newt ... I do, but I can’t trust him.

We need Rick Perry.

Sadly, you might be right. It might be a repeat of when we ran McCain and nobody was interested enough to vote for him.

At that time Obama voters were enthusiastic. I don’t think they are any more. I think they have just enough energy to answer Obama in a poll, but not enough to actually go to The Polls.

That’s my hope, anyway.

Look, loser and sorehead.

CW has been posting threads for people who are interested in Perry.

If you are bored with what you call the same old tripe, I have a suggestion for you.

Take your stupidity and post somewhere else.

You won’t be missed.

Yes! That bill for compelling sonograms before abortions will do more for the innocent unborn than all the rhetoric from Santorum and it was Perry who did it.

“Rick Perry is the only one with a record of rolling back government and creating jobs — the “good intentions” executive running the 13th largest economy in the world... but you want him to endorse the big government central planners?

What do you do for a living?”

I want him to endorse a “big government planner” so perhaps one of them can beat Obama. Perry can’t. imo

I breathe for a living, mostly. There’s that eating and drinking thing too tho. LOL

"is is pretty obvious that if Perry drops out his supporters would move to Santorum and Gingrich. So Perry staying in the race helps Romney and hurts conservatives."

This is not true. A lot of the people I know offline said they will never vote for Newt nor Santorum or God forbid Ron Paul. When I asked them then who? They told me they would hold their nose and vote for Romney against Obama in the General.

To assume if Perry were no longer in the race the votes would automatically go to the ones you said is wishful thinking perhaps but not documented.

There are only two places Rick Perry can win a primary, Texas and Mexico.

Perry staying in despite having no chance to win is “insurance” for Romney, no doubt.

Same can be said about Santorum.

It's about voting against Right to Work legislation...among other big gov't spending.

Yes. I should have used the /S

We need to just let the process work. We haven't even had any REAL voting. I don't think we should let Iowa and NH pick our candidates no matter who the presumed winner will be.

Maybe we need to start the primaries in the MOST RED states then progress thru them with the blues states as last.
