Most healthcare plans will be required to cover birth control without charging co-pays or deductibles starting Aug. 1, the Obama administration announced Friday.
The final regulation retains the approach federal health officials proposed last summer, despite the deluge of complaints from religious groups and congressional Republicans that has poured in since then. Churches, synagogues and other houses of worship are exempt from the requirement, but religious-affiliated hospitals and universities only get a one-year delay and must comply by Aug. 1, 2013.
“This decision was made after very careful consideration, including the important concerns some have raised about religious liberty,” Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a statement. “I believe this proposal strikes the appropriate balance between respecting religious freedom and increasing access to important preventive services."
Congressional Republicans slammed the decision as an assault on religious freedom.

Stupid. Birth control pills have been linked to breast cancer and other types of cancer. My wife just came down with breast cancer. She took them for 7 years. Chemo and radiation is not a fun thing to go thru. Check out this book

They will go up thru the roof with the cancer that comes along with the usage of the pills. BTW it causes the most aggressive breast cancer.

Remember, ABORTION is Birth Control to the Left! So this means FREE, zero Co-pay ABORTIONS of innocent MILLIONS of babies.
You beat me to it. They already define pregnancy as a disease. The next step is forcing insurance to cover abortion, then euthanasia. Murder will become perfectly legal, practiced by your GP and people will flee offshore for healthcare just as many Europeans already do.
I’m not against people taking steps to at least be responsible enough not to burden society with a child they aren’t ready for and expect the rest of society to pay for.
What I am against is forcing private insurance companies to have to give this to people for “free” (ie we all pay for it).
You want to use it, you pay for it. If you’re not ready for kids, you’re probably right. But forcing this to be offered free violates the rights of companies that don’t want to cover it fully, or even partially.
Government needs to be forcefully made to disengage and stand down permanently.
Yet more evidence that the primary motivation for government-run collectivized medical care is cultural Marxism, in order to impose the “values” of the Left on the general population via these sorts of mandates. People are forced to acquiesce in practices that violate their religious principles and their conscience, and gradually over time those are eroded away. At that point the subject - formerly a “citizen” - is ready to be told what to do in every other aspect of life, and Utopia is achieved.
You also need to keep the House by a decent margin, and regain the senate with a couple extra votes.
No way Harry will rollback O’Deathcare. We don’t have Republicans with enough balls to strongarm him even with the President and the House. Look at Boner now. He can’t cut sh1tty deals fast enough and cry about how great it is later on.
It would be better to pray to God to remove whatever people you are wanting removed, by ANY and ALL means He sees fit to use.
