I believe that the path to wayward thinking about these modern issues all begins with a profound state of ignorance about the subject of American history. Unless a person truly understands what life was like under the iron-fisted rule of kings and potentates of old, they will not understand the importance of the basic principles underlying what's in our Constitution.

Nailed it BTTT!

Thanks, guys.

A lot of the 'enlightened' thinking about the US Constitution and our American system of government is due to the fact that Americans of modern times have no living memory of how brutal and harsh a world their ancestors lived in.

Even now, when any American can hop a plane and walk among impoverished and enslaved people, some still do not quite grasp that evil will always seek to suppress and enslave, unless it is held in check by a strict set of social organizing agreements (and a moral, vigilant people who will defend them).

Liberals and other ignoramuses seem to believe that the only thing required to ensure life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, is to "give peace a chance", or some such gobbledegook. They're easy prey for those who sell enslavement under the guise of "fairness", "inclusion", "worker's rights", and other such Communist platitudes.

Ignorance is the enemy in the long hard battle we fight, to maintain what the Framers bequeathed to us.
