I think a lot of cities are going to be in a lot worse shape than Detroit when the plug is pulled.
I have seen pictures of Havana Cuba...they remind me of the photos I saw recently of downtown Detroit.

The problem with “benefits” is that they suck the life out of a community...because there is never enough benefits to be taxed from producers to pay basic civic infrastructure-which producers need to produce...and to also support a population of loafers.
As infrastructure crumbles, inevitably...the producers then dry up and go away. And Pottersville has arrived.

I failed to see in these 20 points any indication that Organized Labor has had a direct impact on the colossal failure that is Detroit.
We can not have a serious discussion of the failure of Detroit without mentioning how Unions have contributed to their demise.
Benito Obamalini would have focused on trying to help Detroit, but fixing a non-existent issue of access to birth control took precedence. Hopey Changey!
If you do live in a place like Detroit, all is not lost.
1. Keep your nose clean.
2. Learn to do something useful.
3. Find out where there is a market for the thing you can do.
4. Move there and go to work.

China is growing at 25% economic growth . Detroit used to be the Industrial capital of the world now because of free trade with china detroit is this decaying hell hole .China manufactures things detroit doesn't.
The solution: Stop all trade with other countries. make things In the U.S.A again. Reduce government size ,reduce government regulations, repeal pro union laws, deport illegals and stop this free trade insanity especially with china.

Simply put, Detroit is so-called Black Pride’s model city. Yes, that is racial, but it is not racist. What blacks did to Detroit was a matter of mindset, not pigmentation.
They could have chosen to go the route of blacks as depicted in the great movie, “The Temptations.” But, instead, they chose to go the route of welfare, anger, and victimization.
We all make our choices and take our chances.

I believe even if the car makers were going full guns most of the people there couldn’t get hired. They can’t read! That’s the education system’s fault. Look at the teachers. When congress is filled with Cynthia McKinney and Sheila Jackson-Lee and Maxine Waters types, and the guy from Georgia who worried that Guam would tip over if too many Marines were sent there, what quality of teachers can we expect to get?
