I hope everyone here will rally behind one or the other of them once it becomes clear who will win the nomination.
Okay Im trying to work through all of this.. FR supporting Newt, Newt kinda falling behind, Santorum pulling ahead, Romney is just ridiculous... What do we do? For every one thing we say Newt is not conservative we can say Santorum is too. This is my thought? People arent going to care. Newt has been neutered fair or not. People dont like Romney. People will just go to Santorum because he is the last one standing. What a mess we are in. Im going to get flamed but Im just thinking out loud

This article is insulting. Most of us had an idea of whom Santorum is. He never hid it, and he was a third ranking member.
To some degree, he was going to votr, and even sponsor some of that big labor stuff for the same reason that Jesse Helms always supported Tobacco subsidies.
You cannot say No Santorum unless you say yes to somebody. In some states, that would be Gingrich, in others, it cam only be Santorum or Romney.
Flamed? Why? Seems like the most intelligent comment I’ve read in awhile. It’s pretty much the bottom line.
I like Santorum. Is he perfect? No, but I think as President, he’ll surround himself with the right people and will make the decisions necessary to get the country moving.
The biggest thing going for Santorum though is the “TRUST” factor. You can link trust with favorability. Despite his warts, people are willing to trust Santorum more the other candidates. And I believe he’ll deliver.
And when he wins Michigan and Ohio, what then?
True. Santorum was an afterthought for nearly the entire campaign, but was just stubborn enough (or had nothing else to do) to stay in the race and hope Romney the chameleon would continue to flounder. Rick is the same lackluster candidate he was 6 months ago. Once people remember why no one paid attention to him for all those months, they may remember that a guy who wants to remind us all why contraception is a bad thing is probably not the best candidate to nominate for an election cycle that should be about the economy.

Either Santorum or Gingrich (my first choice) are worth hanging around for and supporting. They each have their faults but are miles above romneycare...
