FReepers please post your President Rick Santorum Dream Team thoughts here.
VP - Allen West or Marco Rubio
Sec. Of Def Duncan Hunter Sr. not Jr.
WH Press Sec Sarah Palin you betcha!
Sec. Of State John Bolton ! Wow can you the left explode!
Fed Chair Herman Cain
Your thoughts?
IMHO, Jerry Boykin would be a much better choice for SecDef than West, and while I understand that there’s a very fine line between loyalty and patronage, Boykin has already thrown his support behind Santorum.
So you mean Newt has twice the vote total of Santorum? I knew he had more, but I didn’t know it was (essentially) double Rick’s votes. Wow. And some folks want Newt to throw in the towel.
I don’t see it happening.
And let's not forget one thing: many of those votes were in Missouri, where many Santorum voters told exit pollsters they would have preferred Newt but he was not on the ballot - so that real math is more like 900,000 to 400,000.
Yes, that is true. All information can be found at realclearpolitics.com
I understand the delegate system, unlike others(uh hum, poster of thread). The only reason that I posted the Actual Vote count is because it illustrates the depressed voting participation in the states where Mitt, and especially Rick, won.
The fact that the “mystery man” can call this race over is ridiculous.
However, I will state again that if Newt doesn’t win a single state on Super Tuesday, then it IS over and he needs to get out and endorse. I will rally around that candidate at that point. Rick will be a whole lot easier for me to vote for than Mitt.
We shall see.....
Premature or prophetic? Which is it really?
The turn out issue is huge, because the GOP needs turn out. Newt, and ONLY Newt, has shown the ability to win a big turn out state. Interestingly, that was the only state where Obama and liberalism were the focus - SC.
In all the other states turn out was down from 08 and in 08 we had McCain and that crowd. Mitt nor Rick can possibly be elected President by campaigning the way they have so far.
I served with Gen. Boykin and worked with him at the Florida Parent Educator Association Convention last year.
He would be a valuable member of Rick’s Team.
Well Dan, I think you should take your ideas to the Pastor-in-Chief blog where all ideas are a mile wide and a micron thin.
You folks are starting spread yourself through this blog like the Paul shirts.
Pastor in Chief? Really? You sound like Obama!
Prophetic means that you have heard straight from God and I would be careful with that, my friend.
Well, it's no secret WHAT Santorum is, his actual Big Governmernment history was well exposed in the last debate, in which your savior lost control of his emotions when he was called on it and also forced to explain it.
lol I see the Lord working in the hearts and minds of His people. It matters not if Rick Santorum is elected or not. It is clear that the primary is over and Rick Santorum needs our help to defeat Obama.
Are you with us or against us? Help President Santorum by discussing cabinet positions and who/why is best to fill the spots
Nope, Born Again Christian Danno,
But as a senior officer, I have managed enough wisdom to know that when given the choice to go into battle with the Chaplain or with a Patton-like warrior who prayed on his knees and cursed like a sailor...you go with Patton.
Which candidate you think represents the analogy Dan?
Rick Santorum is not running for pastor in chief.. the LEFT is making that argument because so many Christians like myself are supporting him. They suggest...as you do... that the ONLY support that Rick has is from evangelical Christians who view him as God or Savior. This is ridiculous, considering the fact the only ones who are making a big deal about his view on social issue are the ones who DO NOT support him... Those of us who DO support him view his social positions as a BONUS... the MAIN reason I support him is because he is the BEST conservative across the board still standing.. I think Newt would be a great adviser to President Santorum.
I was not really surprised - maybe a bit at the margin of Newt’s vote total over Ricks’ - but I was fully aware that Newt had more votes.
Apologies, but this is a bizarre post to say the least. This primary has been incredibly topsy-turvy with hardly any delegates awarded yet. Santorum just got smoked in a debate that Newt arguably won, and you think the primary is already over? I think it’s important to be positive and hope for the best, but this seems a little on the side of delusional. It seems the battle lines are still drawn pretty clearly with nary any sign of a victor yet.
Yes it is over my FRiend, however, I don’t want Newt to drop out. He needs to stay in and keep taking down Mitt and earn a spot on Rick’s team
Discussing cabinet positions for Santorum now, is what most logical and realistic thinkers would call, “Putting the cart before the horse”. Until you can prove one reality, you have to produce it first.
