Last fall the Chesapeake Bay Bridge toll went from $2.50 to $4.00, an increase of 60%. See the related post below:

I am not a boat owner. I've never been a boat owner; and I have no plans to be a boat owner. Nonetheless I am outraged.

Fees are being hiked for every level of government. It won’t stop, until a large proportion of government employees are laid off after the bond collapse. They won’t have so much money and time for politics then.
Texas Parks and Wildlife was worried I'd leave potholes in their precious water..........
This sucks. I was planning on buying a 40-50 foot sailing yacht as my home and living on it.
And I’d be working in Maryland... so I guess the only choice I have would be to try and dock it in Virginia or Delaware and then commute. (which would also bite)
On the other hand, with a boat, I won’t have to pay property taxes.
This will lead to the “Derelict Marina” bill to subsidize empty marinas throughout Maryland. The leading Democrats will all stand around and wonder why this happened.
When I lived in Maryland, it cost me $85 every two years to register my truck. I wonder what the fee is now? And I had to get an emissions test on it, too. Waste of time.
Maryland jacked up the liquor tax by 50%.”
Time you all started making bathtub gin.

In Virginia, you would have to pay personal property tax on the boat. Not sure about Delaware.

154.50 for two years. Just paid it in Jan.

I once knew a guy who was forced to live on his boat due to marriage problems. He moved it to Washington DC to be closer to his job. But DC has its own set of issues. Good luck with the boat search. Yachtworld.com is a good place to start.

It’s probably illegal or heavily taxed, just like nearly everything else in Maryland. Fortunately I’m close to retirement and an exit.
Holy Crap!!! Well, I pay $75 per year, now, up here in Wisconsin but life is much more pleasant and our governor is cutting taxes and keeping costs in check.
Thanks for the tip!
I’ve been to it before, but forgot to bookmark it.
