“That probably makes him more dangerous than ever.” That is an assumption and is not a fact. Those Ugandans I have read have said that he is no longer a real threat as his army is so depleted. I have read about 10 different articles on the issue. Many from or quoting Ugandan people who say that the video is “embarrassing to them and is no longer the truth”.

Quote me properly please I said “real threat” that does not mean he does not pose a threat at all!

Yes I note that the original article did urge people to DO their own vetting I was pointing out that it is good for us to urge others via social media to do the same. BTW FR is not the social media I was talking about I meant FB and Twitter etc.- I meant no sort of insult in that! Please try not to be so oversensitive - I was not trying to be critical at all towards yourself or the original article and yet you seem to be wanting to jump down my throat.

Sorry to disappoint, “Big Chief,” but it IS about me - I’m a shrink, and this sort of pathologic Narcissism provides job security, and understanding it for what it is and the damage it does provides me salient insight into much that goes on currently in my country.

Two decades of conflict between government forces and the rebel Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), has devastated Uganda’s economic and social development. Fighting has displaced 1.5 million people and at least 25,000 children were kidnapped and forced to fight for both sides. Caritas Australia provides humanitarian and psychosocial support to many children and adults caught up in this conflict.

Just thought I would add this from Caritas International Australia (a Catholic Charity) who works in Uganda.

As in Uganda, Sudan and other war torn counties over there children have been kidnapped and forced to fight for BOTH sides for decades. Personally I would rather support a Charity that is diligent with their finances and who has a balanced approach to the political reality that no side is innocent in this evil use of children. CCF I believe also works in this area.

If Saddam was still in Iraq he'd be keeping the Iranians busy and all of the resources we used for Iraq could of been thrown into Afganistan. So, I'm kind of upset.
