Talkers magazine publisher: Limbaugh likely 'has the biggest audience he's had in years'

In the wake of uproar following conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s characterization of 30-year-old contraception activist and Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke last month as a “slut,” Limbaugh has seen advertisers flee and entire campaigns waged to get him off the air.

But the big question remains: Just how have Limbaugh’s ratings been affected?

There has been no measure of his listenership since the Fluke flap. But nonpartisan radio expert Michael Harrison told The Daily Caller that Limbaugh’s numbers likely are going no where but up — despite the anti-Limbaugh push.

The leftist are conflating a "no-buy" list with a boycott and no one is calling them on it.

I sent email to Proflowers and said the following:

Since you have decided to pull your ads from Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, it is obvious that you do not value the 1st amendment right of free speech. Furthermore, you apparently agree with the Obama administration and HHS that the federal gov’t has the right to force religious organizations to pay for health care services that they deem to be a mortal sin, thus violating the 1st amendment right to freedom of religion.

Just to clarify the issue at hand:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

You will not receive another shiny dime from me. I will go to 1-800-flowers instead. Good luck to you and have a nice day.

Not to mention, Fluke is pronounced “flook”.

This “fluk” business was rolling the dice and hoping that Limbaugh would flub it and they could go to the FCC with a wardrobe malfunction complaint when he said “fuk”.

Someone forgot to do their homework that the man is deaf.

A leftie music reviewer/promoter on my facebook was gleeful about radio stations abandoning Rush. Well here is a complete list of Rush affiliates who took him off.

—KPUA Hilo HI
(Some of whose listeners can pick him up on a Honolulu station)
—WBEC Pittsfield, People’s Republic of MA
(If he isn’t picked up by a diff. station in town,
no worries; WGY Schenectedy can probably come in fine)

That’s it. Two down...598 to go.

“There’s nothing new about this,” Harrison cautioned, “and what’s happening now is I’m starting to see a number of the sponsors that have been on this list for many, many years, suddenly being touted by the forces that are trying to bring Limbaugh down. They’re sort of putting their names out there as if they’re piling on to this list of advertisers that are fleeing. And that’s where this thing has become very murky.”

So the libs are using these advertisers who may not have had their ads run on Rush anyway as some sort of 'object lesson', and to bolster the libs' animus against Rush. I'm sure these companies loved having their names dragged into all this. /S
