Marco Rubio endorses Mitt Romney (RINO Spring migration continues)

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio endorsed Mitt Romney for president Tuesday night on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News.

"I am gonna endorse Mitt Romney. He offers such a start contrast to the president's record," the senator said.

"I have zero doubt in my mind: No. 1 that he will govern as a conservative, and No. 2 that he will be head and shoulders above the president in the White House right now."

On rumors he's on the short list to be vice president, Rubio said,"I don't believe I'm going to be asked ... that's not what I want."

You did read the parenthetical statement on the title of this thread, right?

If so, shouldn’t you complain to the person who called Rubio a RINO in the title of the thread, rather than to the person who sarcastically pointed out the absurdity of that label?

Since Crist quit the party and went independent, yes, I am not serious.

This is the least of Rubio’s offenses against those who voted for him. He’s the anti-conservative GOP’s fair haired boy. I suppose they think when he barks like a trained seal, conservatives obey.

Unfortunately, a third party might be too late. I for one wish I had known the Republican Party was going to screw us last year while it was still early enough. I think it would be too difficult to choose a candidate, operate an effective campaign and raise the necessary dollars at this point.

Of course I reject Obama -- and I reject Romney FOR THE SAME REASONS.

You're so busy looking behind you, at what you're trying to escape (four more years of Obama), that you are neglecting to look forward to where you are headed -- four years of a Republican who is as immoral and anti-Constitution as Obama, and his being a Republican neutralizes opposition from the right. Vote for Romney, and you're going directly from the frying pan into the fire. It's not rocket science.

God would surely abandon a nation where righteous people, who would for political expediency out of fear and lack of faith, vote FOR an agent of statist depravity and evil such as Romney has demonstrated himself to be.

I'll trust in God and keep the faith. The Bible tells again and again how God stands by and helps those who stand by Him. I think if Romney won because God-fearing peopled surrendered and voted for him for fear of Obama, God would be rightly disappointed and leave us to reap the consequences, whereas if Obama won because we refused to cross the line and vote for an agent of evil just to avoid a different evil, God would smile on us and help us in our fight to save this nation.

Godspeed Newt Gingrich.

Yes Rubio is a RINO. I live in FL and when he was on his way out the door as Speaker of the Florida House, he voted to raise every fee from licenses to court filing fees. Some were raised more than double.

His claim during his campaign for Senate was “I didn’t raise taxes, I raised fees.” I don’t see the difference. Any money we give the government is a tax.

He is a RINO.

You calling him a RINO is laughable and disgusting. We have many longtime Florida FReepers who will disgree with you. I have pinged only two.

So what that he made his endorsement “for his party’s unity” and an end to the primaries which he think have gotten tomessy and nasty. Trouble is, his endorsed candidate is responsible for the nasty and vicious campaign, so that makes Rubio wrong.

“Since Crist quit the party and went independent, yes, I am not serious.”

Glad to hear that. I had to make sure. :)

No way to change that at this point. I tried in my state primary. The general election is either bummer or Romney. I don’t like the choice, but that is it
