I'm afraid you're probably right. Nixon was forced out of office by an energized media and judicial system (and Clinton was endangered to a lesser degree). When the major media outlets become pure propaganda mills for the political power structure and are abetted by a compromised judicial system, nothing much can happen. And don't think that the politicians haven't noticed!
You might be right. However, with this case, Arpaio's cold case posse has added a new twist or two to the official narrative.
