Judges are powerful and influential people. I have seen first hand what happens when you threaten one. They will move heaven and earth to get you prosecuted when it involves them. Others, not so zealous about.
It would behoove the NBPP and their associated ilk to remember this. If they make threats against the judge, their will be host of LE to protect the judge.
I don’t see how this gets passed the pre-trial.

Reportedly Zimmerman was active in a pro-black demonstration or something. And on top of that, Zimmerman is a Democrat. If the prosecutor is alleging racial animus on no more than what I heard on the 911 tape, and in the teeth of contrary evidence from the Zimmerman’s past, it would take a very biased, and or very scared, jury to buy that.Right in the teeth of his indictment, I would see Zimmerman suing NBC - indeed, all of journalism, embodied in the Associated Press - over the biased reporting of this case which has made it a cause, endangering peoples’ lives. He would IMHO have a case against NBC even if he is ultimately found culpable in the shooting of Trevon Martin.
Yes. At this point, I think what's happened is that Angela Corey intentionally overcharged Zimmerman with Second Degree Murder (which is unethical for a prosecutor) as leverage to get him to plead to a lesser charge.
All of the sweetness displayed by Zimmerman's new attorney, Mark O'Mara, toward Corey (rather than attacking the political nature of the charge, or beginning to lay out his client's defense in public) suggests those conversations may already be taking place, in my fleeting current opinion . . .
