FR has exactly *two* cookies.
One is Google Analytics and the other is the one that keeps you logged in.
Blogs usually have many trackers, beacons, adware, cookies and other garbage that invade your privacy and expose your machine and personal data to *other* sites that have the same crud installed.
Some people deeply resent the invasion of privacy and garbage that accrues after we visit those blogs.
I’ve had inboxes full of spam related to the blog topics “suddenly appear”, I’ve had ads on other sites ‘personalized for me” based on whatever the blog was about.
I do not like being cyber-stalked just because somebody is playing the penny-per-click game.
Last night, somebody posted a “cute video” from a blog and it totally crashed my laptop.
I had to cold boot to get it going again.
That is not why I come ~here~.
You should ‘invest’ in a program called ghostery.
I’d post a link but then someone would accuse me of being a blog-pimp. /s

I don’t like it either, but I don’t obsess over them. I just clean my stuff regularly and employ reasonable protections and take reasonable precautions. I dang sure don’t click anything hinky unless I’m in a sand-boxed environment (just a window away).
So, I can sleep at night... :-)
