Obama Exec Order Takes Natural Gas Away From States
The White House ^ | 04/13/2012 | Barack Obama

Posted on 04/16/2012 7:05:51 AM PDT by TexasVoter

Because efforts to promote safe, responsible, and efficient development of unconventional domestic natural gas resources are underway at a number of executive departments and agencies (agencies), close interagency coordination is important for effective implementation of these programs and activities. To formalize and promote ongoing interagency coordination, this order establishes a high-level, interagency working group that will facilitate coordinated Administration policy efforts to support safe and responsible unconventional domestic natural gas development.

Chaired by the Director of Domestic Policy, Cecilia Monoz... vice president of la raza being qualified by her degree in english and latin american studies and background in civil rights.

Bla, bla, bla, American families, energy, bla, bla, bla.

REGULATE, USURP the 10th AMENDMENT

While natural gas production is carried out by private firms, and States are the primary regulators of onshore oil and gas activities, the Federal Government has an important role to play by regulating oil and gas activities on public and Indian trust lands, encouraging greater use of natural gas in transportation, supporting research and development aimed at improving the safety of natural gas development and transportation activities, and setting sensible, cost-effective public health and environmental standards to implement Federal law and augment State safeguards.

THIS MAKES ME VOMIT!

The whole system is so far out of kilter I have no idea what is going to break loose first — but it’s obviously going to be something.

I can’t imagine that the governors of the several states are going to look favorably on this, especially since so many of them have plans for their gas and mean to keep them.

The tensions that are undoubtedly increasing at the very interfaces between federal, state, and local power are definitely worrisome. Of course, the extreme disregard for the law displayed by Holder and his minions it tainting the reputation of every federal agent by association — something a large percentage of must find intolerable.

We are steaming in uncharted waters. Nobody, not a single soul, knows how this is going to turn out. We have not been in this stressful of a condition since the War Between the States.

Will John Andrew Boehner crawl out of his Gin bottle
long enough to start an Impeachment process ?

NEVER. He will also have to find his cods first.

Impeachment is solely a House function !

That may be true Joe, and I don’t doubt it.

History however is on my side. The states may complain and fuss - but, in the end, they will do nothing.

True, but what good will it do if the Senate refuses to try it?

“I spoke with someone involved in NG drilling about a week ago. He said there’s such a surplus sitting around (like enough for the next 50yrs or more), that NO ONE is drilling and he’s looking for another line of work.”

Gas is done for now until new consumption comes on line. When it does the surplus will dry up but your contact is correct, we have seen this before. Shale gas wells have a much more dramatic decline than conventional wells. The combination of natural decline and consumption will take a few years to dry up the surplus but it will dry it up and drilling will begin again.

OIL on the other hand is also affected. Shale oil is growing faster than shale gas right now and oil is still needed and still offers a good price. It also requires fracture stimulation for production and this too falls under this ignorant executive order... they are just too stupid to associate oil as well... the press is all about gas fracing... they are sticking to what the sheeple understand and are coming to their rescue.

In a short time the rest of the world will be awash in petroleum again. The United States on the other hand will struggle and decline until this SOB is gone.

The Senate's only function is removal!

Placing all political food fights aside for a nano-second or two, just when will someone in our government stand up and say “Executive Orders” were never intended by the Founders for purposes such as this and are unconstitutional from the get go?

While I detest everything about this vile piece of scum in the White Hut, even my most beloved President RR issued a few Executive orders which really should be the sole responsibility of the Congress.

I do not recall when this usurping of power by US Presidents started but if I had to bet it would be Wilson.

An Executive order “WAS” to be used for issues related to the Office Of President and certainly not to usurp the powers given to Congress or the USSC by WE THE PEOPLE.

If we were to look at the plethora of Executive orders issued by numerous Presidents, we would find that Congress has been relegated to political theater while the Office of the President has been given dictatorial powers.

If the President can do these things then we do not need a Congress. I would love to just blame the current stain in the White Hut but to be honest he is far from being alone exercising powers NOT given to him by WE THE PEOPLE via the Constitution.

Gerard, of API, is a bonafide pinhead and a dolt. What API did over the BP disaster simply played right into the hands of the administration. Every technical report that was to be illuminating was incorporated into the CFR by reference as a regulation including all the ones that were written by self serving parties pimping for more studies.

with American Petroleum Institute head Jack Gerard saying his organization is “pleased that the White House recognizes the need to coordinate the efforts of the federal agencies that are reviewing, studying or proposing new regulations.”

The point is to unify the prohibitions to development whenever possible.

Like these? They aren’t salty. They are true. It is a shame that only a few see it. 11,000,000 guns purchased in the last year. For defense in case TSHTF or for other un-avowed purposes? Probably just for defense, the sheeple are too self centered for a greater good.

A couple of the comments:

Obama is getting away with so much that don’t be surprised one day if he comes out and says to everyone something like, “Yeah, my birth certificate was a fake, I stole the presidency, and my goal is to destroy America and everyone else who does not side with me. What are you going to do about it?”

There would be shocked continuous silence which in itself will be giving the answer of nothing. Knowing that the people aren’t going to do anything, Obama will go further and tell everyone that not only will you take the mark in your right hand or in your forehead, but you will worship me as well and like it.

and

I see someone else on here see’s the truth. No one will stand up. Simply as that. You’re all conditioned to sit down and keep your mouths shut. You’re allowed to vent across the internet because it’s a great way for them to keep you out of the streets if you think posting your anger here is accomplishing anything.

Everyone makes there comments about how their government is bad or it’s Bush or Obama’s fault, then you return to your daily grind hoping someone else will do the dirty work.
Sadly Gravlore, I have to agree with you. No one will stand up just as no one did during Nazi germany’s reign of terror.

The trial happens in the Senate, does it not? Instead of Biden presiding over it, Roberts would have to.

Such ass-kissing is just part of the cost of doing business in Obamamerica.

Bill Clinton was Impeached by the House.

The Senate failed to remove him from office.

He is still an Impeached President.
