Thanks for the clarification. The article seemed a little one-sided to me. Based on the replies a lot of readers are eager to jump on anything that puts elected Republicans in a bad light and proclaim that it is proof that they are RINOs. At this point, to many conservatives, being a politician and a registered Republican proves that you are a RINO.
You make a good point. We conservatives are all too often so cynical that we condemn our officials before having all the facts.
Unfortunately, the suspicions are all too often valid about Republican politicians. And my friend (as well as myself!) are willing to entertain that concern about Republican elected officials “being RINO”/.
However, in this case, my friend actually SPOKE with the official on the committee who voted down the legislation for reasons that she/he reported were sufficient to allay that concern. I was most grateful he/she sent me the information, because i was quite concerned as well.
