Look-Marco Rubio is not ready to be Vice President. If he is all he is cut out to be we should stop treating him like he's a hispanic trophy. He needs to 'earn it' more. The Cuban leadership is aging, it's illigitimate, and the entire power structure should go down like a ton of bricks. They need to be pounded and squished like a bug. Russia ain't gonna be there to help them. Chavez? Too bad he ain't gonna be alive to watch. Quite simply the Castro brothers are like Yasser Arafat-not entitled to the honor of a natural death. Having said that I want the Castro brothers to stay alive and be given a ring-side seat to the revolution that will bring down everything they stand(and live)for. Their lieutenants should be named and publicly tried right in front of them. As the island nation starts to crack we should be there at the forefront with pedal-to-the-metal freedom pushes. The whole world needs to see this and we need the proper messenger. Could Rubio be seen as the island nations' George Washington? Everything would have to be set up. The Castros' are definately doing their part. We have unfinished business with them and they have been putting their people down for too long. Putin? The little man with short-man's complex should have his nose rubbed in it just like the Iranian hostage takers did with Jimmy Carter. No need for an island invasion. The Cubans will take care of it themselves. We will stand on the sidelines and DARE the Russians to get involved. This wont be like Iran when the people demonstrated a couple of Junes' ago. The real question is this: Does Marco Rubio want to establish his leadership bonafides by sticking his neck out? If so he could pick which country he wants to be President. He needs to "GO ROGUE."
Marco is about as rogue as John McCain.
Marco is cozying up to all the insiders trying to be groomed for future roles.
Trying to make a career of politics.
He’s a lifetime-politician in the making.
Goldman Sachs was a huge contributor to his campaign.
Marco will not change anything significantly in Washington DC, he’s not changing the game, he’s playing the game.
Sort of an odd vanity, if you don’t mind my saying so.
Sort of an odd vanity, if you don’t mind my saying so.
The problem is that China is heavily entrenched/invested in Cuba.
We don’t want to upset our landlords, do we?
Let’s see, is it possible to be any more self centered? The candidate is no good UNLESS he does exactly what you say on one issue. And on an issue, no less, regarding Cuba which HIS family left and he is of Cuban heritage.
Rubio is an excellent, articulate conservative. He gets my vote hands down.
I thought it was just me.
Being who he is and where he is is an taunt to the Communists.
Invade. We have done it to Lybia, Iraq, and perhaps Syria now. Invade, and clean out that racist hornet’s nest once and for all.
You people disappoint me. First of all we made an agreement with the Soviets not to invade. Second WE DON’T NEED TO. A popular uprising could do it. Third and most important just think of the possibility of freedom breaking out (again) all over the world. Think Iran(again) Tianamen(again) and even Moscow where Putin stole the election. We need to facilitate the hanging of tyrants.
