Washington, D.C. In an act of desperation after the sizable Democrat loss in Wisconsin, President Obamas campaign is targeting underachievers and all Americans who like entitlements with a brand new movement called Slackers for Obama. With Occupy Wall Streets numbers in decline, we felt we had to reenergize the vast majority of Americans whove become accustomed to handouts and give them a reason to believe that Obama will win reelection and keep the freebies coming, said Communications Director for Obama's re-election campaign David Axelrod. Together, Axelrod and Senior Advisor to the President David Plouffe came up with the slogan, We want free stuff and hope it will catch on like Yes we can as the official Obama reelection rally chant. The chant will figure prominently in commercials and contests such as one featuring George Goober Lindsey, the recently deceased star of the The Andy Griffith Show, offering a beer summit at his house with President Obama, Police Sergeant James Crowley and Professor Henry Louis Gates to two lucky winners. One of the few remaining celebrity Obama supporters who hasnt jumped ship, Lindseys last words were reportedly, Theres a certain synergy two underachievers like Barack and I have together which is very much in keeping with the Pyle tradition. Ironically, the movements t-shirts are anything but free -- selling at $19.90 and $15.90 before a Fathers Day Discount -- and sales are being used to partially cover an unexpected shortfall in the campaigns financing. Perhaps not surprisingly, they have become something of an unintended gag item, selling even more brisky to conservatives and Al-Qaeda operatives.
Good satire, except that selling Father’s Day t-shirts would be problematic amongst Obama’s core constituency - how would they know who to buy one for?
Just that alone I like!
Hope it catches on.
That's the point andy. They have to buy a bunch of them just to be sure they get the right babydaddy!
What no Hoodies?
What no Hoodies?
SLOBs: SLackers for OBama
If that's the case, then Hallmark is about to have a great sales week in Detroit, D.C., and Cleveland. But they'd have to market "specialty" Father's Day cards...
"I bought this with my EBT
Though I may be a fool,
'Cause you might be my Daddy
But if you're not, that's cool..."
I love that one!...thanks!
That I really like, has a nice ring to it :^)
LMAO!
