Transcript - The Doha Debates Dec 12, 2011 Khaled Almæena, [Editor-at-large of Arab News, the first English language newspaper in Saudi Arabia. He travels and speaks widely and is a regular contributor to regional and international publications]... Well, all Arab media is biased, unfortunately. But what we can do is use other means. And there is an alternative media across the Arab world which young people are using. Because nobody takes seriously a media that ignores the aspiration of 80 percent of the people - which would be biased. http://www.thedohadebates.com/debates/item/?d=114&s=8&mode=transcript

Good to see that the Arab press is just like the press in the USA.
Wow. I’m shocked that the Arab media is biased. Thanks for the update.
Ho Hum...
That guy has to be lying...Hillary Clinton already said Al Jazeera was real.
She wasn’t - this is what S/he believes...
When arabs say “alternative media” they are referring to facebook and twitter. They do not like these because people are talking to each other and not listening to the Interior ministry which has its own media wing and controls what is news. All GCC nations have this and news is only approved by them. No wonder the leftists love Islam, they already have the media system they are trying to build.
I was in Bahrain last week for work and read an article in the Daily tribune praising the GCC police and their media wing for setting up facebook and twitter accounts to counteract the revolutionaries by making sure people were being told approved news.
The American equivalent would be for msnbc to publish stories praising the Obama regime for setting up freerepublic accounts to counteract the right wing radicals and make sure we are only getting ‘approved’ news.
Yep.
They are here, they are called Trolls.
