NOW THERE’S AN EXAMPLE OF A THREAD THAT WAS HIJACKED, IT WENT TO ALMOST NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED COMMENTS AND WE DISCUSSED EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN THAT WAS IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO THE CURRENT AFFAIRS, INCLUDING THE COST OF AIR TRAVEL, THE RENOVATIONS AT THE HONOLULU AIRPORT, THE HISTORY OF KENYA, POLITICS IN KENYA, CUSTOMS OF THE NATIVES AND THEIR DRESS...AND NOT ONCE DID ANYONE ACCUSE ANYONE OF HIJACKING.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS BEFORE THE THREAD-POLICE!
I know. I was there on both threads (and others), lurking and learning and absorbing, but rarely posting. And it was not only informative but great fun, a true exchange of ideas and theories, from which facts have grown and fallacies have been debunked.
We know so much more now, but that’s where it started, wading through the weeds.
There is yet more hiding in those weeds, and more wading and more searching to be done. Don’t get discouraged.
Waiting for a patriot inside the National Archives (or Occidental or Columbia, for that matter). . .
