Crist to back Democrat Nelson in Florida
Politico.com ^

Posted on 08/01/2012 12:12:15 PM PDT by cotton1706

Via the Tampa Bay Times, former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist - widely seen as a potential future candidate for the job, only as a Democrat - is backing Sen. Bill Nelson in his Florida Senate race.

Crist will attend a fundraiser with Bill Clinton - who famously tried to get Kendrick Meek to bow out of the three-way U.S. Senate race in 2010 so Crist could win, and caucus with Democrats.

It's not exactly hard to see Crist making it formal at some point, if he does run

Did you see this story, Senator Cornyn?? Senator McConnell??

Good thing we weren't fooled by you worthless oligarchs who want to choose your own colleagues, who would do anything possible to thwart conservatives.

Word around the campfire is that Crist wants to run against Rick Scott in the 2014 governor’s race. That’ll be a hoot!

Fire John Cornyn now. The most dangerous of all Senators. Serious fifth columnist.

Yeah, that’s a laughable idea. With Governor Scott cleaning up the voting rolls by getting rid of dead or illegal voters on top of Crist not being able to prevail statewide in 2010, he doesn’t have a chance.

Look at the very first line in this article. They even make allusions to Crist running against Scott as a Dem.

Cornyn, if he wants to be reelected will be doing the Orrin Hatch and Lindsay Graham two-step, that is, following the lead of their state’s junior senator.

If he doesn’t want to get reelected, he’ll be like Kay Bailey, helping the democrats thwart the conservatives at every turn.

A lot of RINO’s would switch sides rather than back a conservative.

If Texas reelects Cornyn, they are no better than Massachusetts.

“A lot of RINO’s would switch sides rather than back a conservative.”

Good! They’re democrats anyway. Let’s smoke them all out. Specter, Crist, Jeffords, Chafee, Murkowski, Scozzafava, etc., not to mention those in REPUBICAN leadership that preferred democrats over O’Donnell, Buck, Miller and Angle.

We’re not fooled anymore.

Echos of Jim Jeffords of Vermont - Elected and then re-elected as a Republican to the US Senate, he chose to align with the Democrat in 2001, because he considered the Republicans, and particularly George W. Bush, to be “unfair”.

It did earn him the Time Magazine “Man of the Year” rating.

BFD. Has anybody heard of him since?
