So this is what Freerepublic has come to ...It hasn't "come to" anything. It's still the best political discussion site in the world. Are there some members (a minority) who are inconsolable that Romney won the nomination? Yes. Do they have a point regarding Romney's history? Yes. Are they misguided regarding the importance of ousting the usurper from office? Of course. Does their existence (however vocal) here in FR means that this site is somehow less than it used to be? Not in my opinion.

This is Jim Robinson’s website. Yeah, we pay for it to stay operational, but it is his site. He endorses this active work to prevent Romney from being elected, thus he is allowing his site to help get Obama re-elected, despite his opposition to the commie Obama. Jim declared a ‘truce’ but then allowed the active, loud, incessant hatred to flow, which works to suppress conservative turnout and prevent Romney from gaining any momentum among conservatives who read at Freerepublic. ... I have lots of problems with Romney. I think he tends to tell people what they want to hear. I think he is tougher on fellow republicans than he is on the real enemy. His nasty little "I don't know why he's so mad" concerning Gingrich made my blood boil. All that being said he's better than Obama and even an idiot has to see it. Can you make an argument that Romney is more liberal than conservative? Sure you can. Can you make any argument that Romney is a liberal as Obama? Not if you reason and logic to determine your opinion.
It sucks to have to argue for Romney because I genuinely don't like the man, but he is our only chance of beating Obama and we need to get him out of office before the damage he is doing becomes irreparable. I also think that Mormonism is a cult...and it still better than Obama.
I'm going to vote for Romney. I might have to come home and take a shower in an attempt to wash the dirty feeling away...but it would be infinitely worse to not vote for him and see Obama in for another term. Kiss your ass good bye if that happens because it won't be America anymore.
