Narrative Wars: Slap the Honey Boo Boos with Truthaganda

Memo to non-leftist bloggers, reporters, and culture-shapers: TAKE THE XXXXXXX GLOVES OFF.

This campaign just got real. From right now until election day, no holds are barred.

The mainstream media has dropped all pretense of impartiality. Their behavior in response to the latest Mideast crisis was blatant, outrageous — and effective. When the world erupted on September 11 and the Obama administration groveled at the feet of our barbarian attackers, the major news outlets — knowing that this was a disastrous turn of events for the Obama campaign which could not be spun in his favor — decided the only solution was to brazenly change the subject to a fabricated peripheral side issue: that Romney had committed some kind of “gaffe” by criticizing the government’s weak-kneed response.

As Obama’s dithering threatened to ignite a world war, a significant percentage of mainstream news outlets blared headlines like ROMNEY GAFFE DERAILS REPUBLICAN HOPES and ROMNEY WON’T BACK DOWN FROM FALSE CLAIM. Of course neither of these headlines (nor countless similar headlines over the past two days) was factually true: The only thing that transformed Romney’s rather mild criticism into a “gaffe” was that the media itself declared it to be so.

The media has been very biased for a long, long, long time. Back to 1972, no question, but probably back to about 1900.
The media has been disgustingly biased for a long, long time. Back to 2008, no question, but probably back to about 1992.

The media has been treasonously biased for a long time. Probably back to 2008, but certainly since Spring of 2012.

There is no pretense. There is no lip service to fairness. They want Obama. They will sink Romney. That's what they are there to do. Every day. 24/7.

Their entire self-image is wrapped up in forestalling a Republican in the White House who might achieve success and thereby show the world that the first black president really was incompetent. The media cannot let that happen. This is personal for them. They don't want to look stupid.

Thomas Jefferson letter to John Norvell in response to Norvell's advice about starting a newspaper.

Letter from Jeffeson

This last bit is great.

These thoughts on the subjects of your letter are hazarded at your request. Repeated instances of the publication of what has not been intended for the public eye, and the malignity with which political enemies torture every sentence from me into meanings imagined by their own wickedness only, justify my expressing a solicitude, that this hasty communication may in nowise be permitted to find it's way into the public papers. Not fearing these political bull-dogs, I yet avoid putting myself in the way of being baited by them, and do not wish to volunteer away that portion of tranquillity, which a firm execution of my duties will permit me to enjoy.

The only GOP politician who was on TV speaking out against Obama’s deadly incompetence in failing to secure our embassies in the Middle East on 9/11 was John McCain. Where were all the others, particularly John Boehner?

The only person more incompetent than Obama in doing his job is John Boehner. He absolutely must go.

Romney needs to stop being a one trick pony.

The economy is yesterday's news and the public has accepted it is Bush's fault.

Either attack and bring Obama down or just punch your ticket and go home

Romney is beginning to sound and act like Hannity..............repeating the same old talking points over and over and over and over and over ad nauseum!

The best way to do this is also the easiest.

Every Freeper should get a Twitter account. It is the simplest way to get in the face -- to get under their skin -- of a raving Journolist.

Don't worry about original content, don't worry about #tcot -- just respond with the facts. The facts win every time.

John Boehner? You know what with all the manipulating, secrecy, cover-ups, mind changing-flip-flops...you get the drift—they get to people one way or the other. That’s it in a nut shell.

Where does one get the ‘facts’? Facts have to come from the actual people involved or a witness and those people are fastly shut up one way or another or the change their minds.

Now this I never took into account. Great point. They aren’t just covering for obama, they are flat out lying to a degree I haven’t seen before. They seem really, really desperate.

Romney is a walking tutorial on “tranquility”. I certainly hope it works, amidst all this chaos. Given the facts on the ground of the ME going up in flames against America, one could not be faulted for wanting Romney to just once push back from the tea table, throw off his shirt and land a knock out punch.

We’re getting PAC ads doing the push back, to which Romney doesn’t bother to allign himself. Hell’s bell’s, if the media scolded him for their content, I believe he would DENY the content.

Give the few here in the country who are going down as patriots something to cheer about. He’s killin’ us out here, campaigning like it was yesterday! We’re split in half for God’s sake. Campaign like it!
