Wondering if any others feel the same way. Also, hope Mitt has learned that all you can do in this case is attack...he needs to own his comments, not back away from them.

I suspect that Mitt's comments will resonate favorably with many voters...

Simplest answer to me: 2006 vs. 2012 and all that’s happened between then and now

I agree: this is a win win. There are 53% of the people who are producers. This is, allowing for a couple of "undecideds/3d party types," results in a 4% national Romney win.

Romney does have to stand up on this. We'll see if he does.

It is awesome! I’m sending Romney more money because of this!

If Romney starts waffling or backing down or hemming and hawing, then yes, this could be. But if Romney holds firm and further reinforces his comments, then no, this will only strengthen him.

I know the media is trying to use it against him. But, I don't think it's working.

I've been following the comments on this story on Yahoo. They are usually pretty liberal. I think there are people who have nothing to do but post Democrat talking points and down-vote anything to the contrary.

Today, I'm seeing a flood of positive comments for both stories about the "secret video": the 47%, and the Palestinian state. Mitt seems to have tapped into an undercurrent of rage.

Get used to it. When you have complete control of the daily news cycle you have the ability to make something out of nothing. This will go on full blast right up to election day.

I actually think this will greatly help Romney. Seriously.

Few people want to think they are the "users"

This ends up working in his favor. Big- time

What does The Media say? If The Media says it, it’s so (sheepmind).

LS, you’re forgetting that Odinga also has a lock on:

* the stupid vote;
* the dead vote;
* the negro vote;
* the Jewish vote;
* the Snowbird vote (here in FL, anyway);
* the multiple-ballot college-brat vote;
* the bussed-in homeless vote;
* with Black Panthers guarding the vote;
* with UN observers watching the vote; and
* with Soros-paid Spaniards counting the vote

Yes... and I and agree with what Rush is saying now: "This is a golden opportunity for Romney... it's just sitting there on a silver platter, waiting to be grabbed."

I admit I'm a worry-wart because the MSM is NEVER on our side, but if Romney plays this right - it should be, as you say - a win-win.

My only regret is that Romney felt he could only say it in an “off the record” fudraisers (sometimes I get the feeling that Romney is Reagan without the cajones), he should be saying it loudly and proudly at every campaign event. If the Obama campaign can make this about class warfare, so can we. It’s about the workers versus the takers...

The only way this hurts him is if he apologizes for it. And, in fact, he did not apologize for it but when on record as standing firmly behind it.

Perhaps you should be asking if this is his "Sister Solja" moment. I think it may prove to be.

You are absolutely right. Mitt could say "the sun will rise tomorrow", and the mainstream media will portray it as "controversial", "a misstep", "a gaffe", etc.

He could save a child from a burning building and the press would spin this as a gaffe.
