Why does Barack Obama force taxpayers to spend $102,000 per year on his dog?

The Daily Caller reports that Bo Obama has a “dog handler” who is paid $102,000 per year of taxpayers’ money.

Any normal, decent human being takes responsibility for their own dog. Many dog owners use their own money to hire pet sitters to walk their dog while the dog’s owner is at work. Many dog owners require their own children to play a role in caring for their dog. These things are normal, and they are the responsible thing to do.

By forcing taxpayers to spend $102,000 per year on his dog, Barack Obama is showing that he has zero respect for the taxpayers.

That number is far too low. How about all those times Bo has to go to the groomer, the vet and how many times has he had his own extra special flight for vacations? You know Moochelle is getting the WH chefs to make him fresh and healthy food from the WH garden and specialty meat markets. Then there’s his toys and brushes and leashes and pooper scoopers. Don’t tell me his owners pay for that because we all know they’re entitled to any and all tax dollars they can hide under the table.

I’m not a dog person, but many people say that dogs are great judges of character.

This is called “picking pepper out of fly-$hit”. For the job that the President is required to do (regardless of party affiliation) its not commensurate pay for the work, travel and conditions. We all take for granted that we can walk out our front door, without an army of agents following us, do things spur of the moment, etc. The President can't. I wouldn't expect our President to pick up the bill while in office for any normal living expenses including the care of his family pets. By virtue of being President, it costs more for the pet....so be it.

That being said.... let's breakdown that $6 trillion he spent... the $100k for the dog is “picking pepper out of fly-$hit”.

Because it makes the America-hating communist POS out to be an everyday normal American with an everyday normal American family. The dog probably loves and respects the country more than either of them.

Why? For the same reason we lowly taxpayers are footing a $1.4 billion bill for the 0bama family`s comfortable life and entertainment.

Actually, it was fulfillment of a promise to his kids. They wanted a dog, long before he ran for President.

I think he knew that he could pass off responsibility to a handler, if he was in the White House. I expect that when he leaves, someone else will adopt the dog.

Obama claims his daughter is allergic to dogs. I suspect it is really an aversion.... his.

Well, and that’s another thing — they care so little for the poor dog, they wouldn’t even train him properly. (to heel and not be pulling like that)

That would take too much work and the affirmative action occupier might break a fingernail. You’d think with all of their wads of cash, they could at least pay for a dog trainer.
