Yet, many of the defeatists on this site are convinced that this was a strategic move by Zero who will now mop the floor with Romney in the remaining two debates.

Look for Obama to pull a switchblade on Romney now. Gutter politics is all Obama knows. Last night, he was out of his element because someone decided he should use civility in dealing with Mitt. That's foreign to Obama and it showed.
It was a great win, and as far as the defeatists are concerned, nothing will make them happy.
I guess part of it is probably the way we all thought for sure GW would crush both Gore and Kerry, yet they managed to make the race tight. Gore had to be stopped by the courts. So part of me understands, yet I know way too many who voted for Obama in “08” that have told me they are voting for Romney.
Not that it matters in Ca, but it does speak volumes for voters across the country.
I need to head to work, so I hate to post and run, but I am blessed to still be employed in spite of Obama.

Even if true, it's a huge gamble. Who can erase from their memory the image of the shrunken, ashen and angry obama we all saw last night?

Obama doesn’t have to mop the floor with Romney. After last night, any improvement will be lauded and gushed over by the media to the point that Obama will be the new Comeback Kid.
