Texas is fine. Y’all are on your own. We’re like the Israel of the U.S. — an island of sanity surrounded on all sides by crazy people.

I’m not going complete gault.

But planed expansion of my company. DEAD
Planned expansion of my house. DEAD
Planned replacement of my car and truck. DEAD

I could go on.

I’m going as Gault as I can. Cutting way back on things I don’t need. starting to stock things I will need and cutting back on income to the point I’ll be getting more back than I pay in if I take the EITC.

If we can’t beat um at the ballot box, we might as well starve um at the collection box.

Yes, it is finished. I don’t think there is one shred of melodrama in that statement. It will have to be destroyed to save it but it won’t be saved.

Harrolds is right about the Supreme Court and many other things. Eight years is a long time.

Unless politicians wake up, and they never have, and fight this on our behalf for principles there will be nothing you recognize left. What is more, and do not discount this, we will be so weak we will be invaded I fear. I think it is likely.

Might as well go Gangnam style. Until it all crashes the people who got Obama won't suffer or get it.
Even then they are going to riot all the way down as their benefits, pensions and dole are gone.

Look to the riots in Greece, Spain and Italy. That is us in the not so near future and those now voting Obama will still claim it was Bush as it all happens. They will IMO NEVER be able to be self accountable for their vote and the damage it caused. Too much false pride went around the last two elections.

Party is over. In my voting in the last five decades I've never felt that. Now I am saying it. Put a stake in what was America, we are through as the nation we were.

We will all equally be poor and suffering under the kind of voting the people have been giving us.

I am so stunned and shaken I can barely breathe. To witness what has just happened to this once great nation is heartbreaking. This is not just a loss to a Democrat, this is a loss of our entire vision of a nation.

As Valerie Jarret said last week (?) she will find you and get even with you, anyone who opposed this administration.

The government IMHO is infested beyond our imagination with the most evil people and now they have 4 more years.

Thanks to all of you $#&^Y&**@ that voted for this disgusting excuse for the highest office in what used to be a great nation. Shame on you for taking freedom from the rest of us. You have no idea what you have just done.

There is absolutely no way this many people would re-elect this POS.
I have lost all faith and trust in our electoral system.
I am through wasting my time voting.
Never again!
And yes, I also blame the media.

This was one battle that was lost. At best, this loss will help us avoid the obvious mistakes made.

There will be other battles in the future, and our goal is to win more battles than we tie or lose.

The purpose of our future battles is to win the WAR, just as Breitbart warned us.

On the positive side we need to list what the problems are.

On the negative side we need to list what mistakes were made.

If we fail to plan, then we are planning to fail.

For us FReepers, failure is not an option.

Show me one dollar, and one law that isn’t approved by the GOP controlled house. One dollar of debt that isn’t pre approved. Bohmer’s tears don’t absolve him and the House for full responsibility for the situation we are in.

The people have given Republicans one last chance by returning them to a majority in the House. Will they squander it again?

Sadly, you are correct Reaganite. The damage that Obama will cause in the next four years will be the nail in the coffin - there is no way whoever the President is in 2016 will be able to fix this.

No way whatsoever.

I know that I will die not understanding what really happened today. It maybe a blessing that I don't.

In four year we won't have to go through all this election day suspense. Won't that be sweet

Ah, the inevitable onslaught of whining, handwringing vanities.

What we learned:

Nominating moderates does not work. The President is an extremist who belongs to his party's radical wing. He won. Twice.

Painstaking GOTV and organizing turnout systematically can overcome a significant enthusiasm gap. They did the math and they did their homework.

The media will ignore its own professional interests (credibility, reporting on juicy stories) in order to propagandize for the left. Benghazi alone would have created substantial revenues and prestige - but they chose to bury it. Likewise Fast and Furious.

So, what now?

The GOP Congress must fight tooth and nail. Boehner must go and be replaced by someone with courage and resolve. Gridlock at all costs. Do not give an inch.

Rally early around around a conservative presidential hopeful. The more conservative and ideological the better. A clear choice.

Fighting voter fraud is job one. Purging the rolls, cleaning out the stables. And focusing this effort on swing states.

Open contempt for the media. Mock them. When Soledad O'Brien and her Ilk get aggressive, rip them apart, not caring whether you get invited back or not.

Use social media more intelligently.

Yes, it’s been pretty obvious for a while that the country is in deep, abject, irreversible decay. Economically, culturally, and morally. The (only!) good thing about this election is that I believe it will finally wake up more people to this fact. And, at least start mentally planning for whatever post-America eventualities will arise, now that the “takers vs. makers” tipping-point has been breached. Whatever Galt-inspired movements or red-state secession scenarios, I’m pretty open to it all.

So what happens next? After the election coverage is done the MSM will have to play catch up with Hurricane Sandy coverage and act like they were on it the whole time, not holding back to make Obama look good. Some stories will be shocking.

Businesses that were hanging on by a fingernail hoping for a better climate with a Romney win will close. Many will surprise people. We will become a nation of 29 hour a week part timers.

Obama may not survive the Benghazi hearings. His plan to throw the entire intelligence community under the bus will fail miserably.

Goes without saying that in four years, it will be cold comfort that we were right about Obama.
