Precisely what we feared when Romney was the nominee, they stayed home in droves.
For all of you who stayed at home, for whatever reason, are you happy with the result? Do you think McCain was a better candidate than Romney? Was McCain more “principled”? Did he have a better resume? Did you stay home because Romney wasn’t “conservative” enough? Do you think Romney is “less Conservative” than McCain? Did you stay home because Gov. Romney is a Mormon? Whatever the reason, WE ALL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT! Simply, you turned down an opportunity to vote for a good man, with principles and a solid grasp of the economy. A “leader” with the working knowledge of how to delegate authority. Was Gov. Romney my first choice? Far from it, but for those who stayed home.....YOU BLEW IT! THE CHOICE WAS CLEAR! IT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN THE CHOICE YOU WANTED TO MAKE, BUT BY NOT PARTICIPATING. YOU LET THE COUNTRY DOWN.
I wonder how many disillusioned Republicans voted Libertarian, Constitution or something else.
Not true. they came out to vote.
Right. EACH AND EVERY candidate had some aspect that made him unacceptable to some segment of the Republican primary electorate. By default, we got Romney.
So the ones who wanted a perfect candidate stayed home.
You think this will make the GOP-e get behind a more conservative candidate next time? get it through your head -- the GOP-e is FINE with not having the presidency. Having the presidency would make them accountable. They don't want that. They WANT to be in the minority, so they can have all the perks of elected office, but no responsibility.
