Was given a Advanced Combat Tactical Folder when active duty EOD. Robert “Bob” Terzoula, made it and gave it to me.... Mastadon Ivory slabs, awesome pocket knife. Like it so much I was afraid to carry it. Put it in the Gunsafe and there it sets with my BBQ gun and Rolex Submariner.

Now I carry a fixed blade Oxo Paring knife inside the waistband and a Swiss army Victorinox champion pocket knife and a Leatherman tool.

More function than fashion these days and I don’t mind leaving that Oxo kitchen knife stuck in my work.

The Swiss army champion has been my favorite carry pocket knife for more than 30 plus years. It and a Randall 14 were my deployment knives until Leatherman came out with his product. Those three served me till my retirement.

The real Swiss Victorinox Champion is the best pocket knife bargin IMO based on utility, construction, cost and ease of carry.

Bought my Victorinox Champion in the mid 80s (?) .. it's apparently a scarce model with chisel, fine screwdriver, awl w/sewing hole, and corkscrew on the back.

It's been a fine tool over the years, and except for a small bit of scuffing on the caps, still looks/works like a new one, incl. the original toothpick .. lol !

I'd surely encourage anyone to have something similar handy, as their reputation is well-deserved, imho.

My Swiss Army "data" knife does most of the cutting, snipping, and other pocket-sized jobs I need to have done. It also has a 32GB USB drive with fingerprint reader, and a tiny .5mw laser pointer. No corkscrew, no tweezers.

Slightly larger slicing is handled by my Benchmade Mini-Barage assisted-opener. I like the knife so much, I bought a backup just to be safe. A few weeks ago, I thought I lost it, so I went immediately to my backup, and ordered another one so I'd still have a backup. Then I found the original on the floor of my truck, so now I'm doubly safe with two backups.

For a backup to my Glock 33, I have a nice Spyderco "Massad Ayoob as a backup to my Glock 33.

I don't often take a knife out of my pocket, but when I do, I want it to perform. :)

Not a well known fact but here in Texas a boy is issued his first knife in the hospital prior to being fitted with his first diaper.

The diapers usually have a compartment to hold it.
