Biggirl ~:” “people of faith” should come together to fight for gun control against the “gun lobby.” “

My right to bear arms is a God-given right to defend myself.
The right to defend doesn’t come from Government .
My right to ‘bear arms’is articulated in the 2nd amendment
, and my right “ shall not be infringed “.
I have the God-given right to defend myself , and not be a victim !

The libturds will hide behind religion when they can
even though they themselves are agnostic or atheists.
They will hide behind behind children when they can
.. Oh !! That’s right ,they already pulled that ploy !!

“It doesn’t really make sense to ban guns, because in reality
what that means is that you are actually banning effective self-defense.
Despite the constant hammering by a news media with an agenda,
guns are used in America far more to stop crime than to cause crime. “ ~ by Larry Correia

This is disgusting and for these atheists and haters of religion to use religion to further their cause is utter hypocrisy. This is not going to work and they have no idea of the backlash that is coming especially in the 2014 elections.

Does the Rev. mean this gun lobby?

Ezekiel 33 “... 6 ‘But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.’

If you know danger is coming to others, and you deliberately fail to warn the others of the danger, you are guilty of harming the victims. This is not to say that you can make people heed your warning. The surrounding verses also say that if the people refuse to heed the warning of the watchmen, the watchman is not guilty if they are harmed.

Hey Biggirl ~ Has Very Rev. Gary Hall spoken out publicly on behalf of other Christians or other religions ?
Is his criticism selective ?
The Coptics of Egypt - being killed and raped by muslums ?
The Christians of Mali - being hunted down, killed and raped by Muslums ?
The Jews and Christians of Turkey and Syria who are being raped and killed by Muslums ?
The Hindu ,Seiks and Buddists of India who are being killed and raped by Muslums ?
What do they all have in common ?
HINT : unarmed and Muslums !

Take a hint (see above ) , .. and THINK about it !

The first Amendment is worshiped by the MSM to be used to their liking, not ours.
The Second Amendment,, again,, The Second Amendment is what keeps the first Amendment free.

Do you get that liberal lurkers?

How about we start going after the first Amendment starting with the media,
and by our terms and conditions. Oh wait, it already is by Conservative terms and conditions.
That's ok, we'll keep our guns at the ready to protect the 1st. Take them away and you have nothing.

The Fabian socialists subverted the theological seminaries over a hundred years ago, that is why there is so much socialism from the pulpit.

I guess they figure they have divided the country along so many lines over the past two decades and especially the last four years, that they will now divide Christians according to the “Jesus wants me to lay by head on the chopping block rather than fight to defend myself” theology vs. the “Jesus wants me to strive for peace but to take down any enemy that seeks to take my life or the life of my loved ones” theology.

It’s sad that Christianity is has been so subverted by socialists (who are almost all atheistic humanists) that they feel the time is ripe for this divide.

One early indicator of this backlash just happened here in Pennsylvania. The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show was postponed after vendors pulled out over the show's recent ban on AR type weapons.

I guess it would upset some folks to know that really traditional Christians have a prayer (actually a brief order of service) for the blessing of weapons:

The Bishop or Priest comes out of the Altar to a table before the Amvon on which the weapons are placed, and he censes the weapons crosswise while the Reader begins as is common:

Reader: O Heavenly King, Trisagion,etc....Psalm 35. Alleluia.

Deacon: Let us pray to the Lord

The Bishop or Priest reads this prayer over the weapons:

O Lord our God, God of Power and Might, powerful in strength, strong in battle, You once gave miraculous strength to Your child David granting him victory over his opponent the blasphemer Goliath. Mercifully accept our humble prayer. Send Your heavenly blessing upon these weapons (..naming each weapon..). Give to them power and strength that they may protect Your holy Church, the poor and the widows, and Your holy inheritance on earth, and make them horrible and terrible to any enemy army, and grant victory to Your people for your glory, for You are our strength and protection and unto You do we send up praise and glory, to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Then the Priest sprinkles blessed water on the weapons saying:

Let the blessing of the Tri-une God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, come down on and remain upon these weapons and those who carry them, for the protection of the truth of Christ. Amen.

After this the soldiers carrying the weapons are blessed, with the prayer:

Be brave and let your heart be stronger and win victory over your enemies, trusting in God, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

After this each soldier kisses the honourable cross.

This is the way to bless sword and sabre. If there is only one sword to be blessed, or only one sabre, he says only once: this sword, or: this weapon. If there are many, he says: bless these swords, or: bless these weapons.

And, lest it be objected that this applies only to arms born by soldiers in armies constituted by sitting governments, I would note that the prayer was used to bless the arms of Orthodox Christians rising up against Ottoman rule at various times throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, who were very much acting as a militia in the sense the American Founders would have recognized, or that it applies only to old edged weapons, that on those occasions it was used to bless firearms.

Of course, the flip side of this, which shows the ambivalent Christian attitude toward the sad necessity in our fallen world of bearing arms is that there are canonical penances specified for killing in war (or self-defense), albeit much lighter than those for murder, and the commission homicide, even in war, in self-defense, or accidentally is an absolute impediment to ordination to the priesthood.

This Catholic supports Amendment 2 and those who are legal, law abiding gun owners.
