First-- thanks to all of you for your wonderful warm wishes and congrats when I posted the first thread.
As you can imagine, it has been a bit overwhelming, but I shared many private messages with many of you.
Everyone has been just top notch with advice and sharing great personal stories of their own experiences with adoption. THANK YOU!
Everything is going GREAT! We talk via email, FB, or phone almost everyday. There have been ZERO issues. Her family and mine are very supportive. Sometimes she calls just to vent about silly things.
We send videos back and forth of us dancing, singing, etc. I have one of her and my grandson both singing, and BOTH have pacifiers in their mouths! HYSTERICAL!
I am leaving March first to meet her in person!
Please be in prayer for us for travel and our meeting. And also in prayer for how her birth father will handle her attempt for contact. I have an awful feeling he will reject this opportunity...but it is just a feeling.
I pray he is receptive and kind. She's my girl and I just don't want to see her rejected. It's a mom thing!

I am so happy for you, and my prayers are with the birth father situation. I am married to a birth father, and he is a little bit anxious about the subject, but I am very excited for him and our daughters to meet his son/their other brother someday.
I missed your earlier thread. But I wanted to say that I’m glad everything is working out well. I hope it goes as well with her birth father.

I can imagine it is a roller coaster for your husband...
My daughter really really wants to have contact with him. She sees this as just more folks to love and love on her and her family.
I wrote her a hand written letter about her father. How we loved each other, he was kind, funny, our first kiss...
I copied the letter, sent it to him..along with another letter, encouraging him and telling him that it is a safe thing, no anger, etc...
I hope we have the right address!

I am a birthmom and I can’t tell how pleased I am for you.
Not every reunion works. I am blessed to be a part of my daughter’s life and to get to know my grandchildren. I cherish the times I get to see them all even if they are not as much as I would like. Blessing to you.

I understand the feeling of not enough! I live in GA, and they live in PA! but she has promised that next year we get to fly them down here!
I have not met my grandson yet— I am so excited!
his b’day is the same say as my sons! I am just crazy with excitement!

Thank you for the update. It is great to see how God works things out! Praying your new relationship grows and your time together is another strong and positive bond between the two of you.
Prayers that the birth father will be as accepting and joyful as you have been.
With all the craziness in the world today, sometimes it is good to just stand back and count your blessings.
What a thrill it must be for you to finally be meeting your daughter. G-d bless you all and enjoy the love. It’s priceless.
