On Rush Limbaugh’s radio show on Monday, National Review’s Mark Steyn explained why an incident involving a seven-year-old boy’s punishment and the subsequent reaction for chewing a Pop Tart in the shape of a gun is a sign the country is “doomed.”
Steyn, author of “After America: Get Ready for Armageddon,” compared this generation of children, who may have felt threatened by the so-called Pop Tart gun, to the American generation that stormed the beaches of Normandy.
“You’re doomed, America,” Steyn said. “You’re done for. No society can survive this level of stupidity. The school counselor is available to meet with any students who are traumatized by hearing reports of some guy four grades below them who nibbles a Pop Tart into a gun-like shape.

The problem is, 50% of America does absolutely nothing, while the other 50% dumbs down America’s youth.

Of course, as others have pointed out, this is not about stupidity, its naked orchestrated nation-wide brain-washing.

This event occurred in MARYLAND. The mecca of liberal stupidity. Actually, it was just outside of Baltimore, the city where violence never sleeps.
Well, it all depends on the flavor of the pop tart. If it was a strawberry, then maybe. But a brown sugar-cinnamin is a whole different ball game.

This is the part that really bothers me. Needing a counselor for kids "hearing reports" of a gun shaped object? Good gosh, they can be glad those kids were not in the schools when I was, and we actually shot each other with rubber band guns and BB guns every once in a while.
I brought this up during Bible class on Sunday and no one had heard about the counselors "fir dee kidos".
Time to outlaw Florida!
He is right. The community around the school, all the parents sending their kids to that school - they are tolerating this insanity.
Once again, I find “educators” are among the most narrow-minded, reactionary, idiotic people I come across.
its a parodox, but the times have given it proof.
KLBJ - a conservative talk station in yes Austin, Texas, did most of the show today about a trade school in some local school district that has several trades as main courses, plumbing, electrical, welding, etc.
One underwater welder who went to the school called in (he was on vacation) and said he makes over $150,000 per year. Lots of truck drivers in the Eagle Ford shale exploration and developments called in and said they got their trucker license from the school as well.
