Excuse me, but you have me confused with someone else. I specifically stated in my previous post that the unborn have a right to life which is protected from individual trespass (abortion.) You are losing it, man. I have never made any statement in any post on Free Republic about homosexuals in the military or homosexual marriage.

Yes, the media have essentially become a corrupt fourth branch of the government. Like it or not, they ARE a government-allied force enforcing cultural standards. Unfortunately, they are anti-Christian standards, and anti-American standards.

If we are to have a constitutional society that functions, the church in this country will have to experience a revival. Remember, there have been periods throughout Western history where adherence to morality has declined, and then been rejuvenated.
We are heading for a collapse in this country, widespread misery and economic as well as societal instability. America will enter a ‘dark period’. I am optimistic that this will turn Americans back to the light of our history and our heritage. Perhaps this people, who have turned to worshiping vapid pop-culture icons, government handout peddlers, and their own selfish desires, will have to experience a world where all doors are closed to them except for that one door always held open by the Lord. When our earthly bodies suffer, our souls may flourish.

Your fantasy is believing that the destruction of Christian America will lead to the resulting lefties that are created by the moral vacuum, for some reason suddenly start voting like Evangelicals, when what we see is the opposite.”

OK, you've provoked me into a public confession in order to refocus the discussion on the topic of liberty versus your inane, ad holmium personal attacks and desires for statist coercion.

I was brought up in a broken, abusive home - had no money, very limited parenting/instruction, no protection, little nurturing, but paid/made my way through college, got a great job, and was put in a cubicle with a born again Christian. That was the VERY LAST thing I wanted. But I listened, considered the information, studied, then became a Christian because the facts were on his side.

I led my family to the Lord, many others from work, friends and acquaintances – who number in the hundreds. I’ve taught the Bible to hundreds, led Boy Scout packs, and fought against the latest onslaught of homosexuality trying to take over the institution at the national level. None of this was due to government prompting, guidance, assistance, leadership, or anything else. In fact, it was in spite of the government.

I don’t WANT the government in my life, telling me what’s right or wrong. That’s what got me off track to begin with. I would have avoided many problems if we didn’t have a bunch of elected, all-knowing, self-righteous pompous ignoramuses in government “helping” me in matters of morality. Thanks, but no thanks!

Honestly, you are one of the most pompous, inane people I’ve tried to reason with. You make broad accusations with zero facts, repeat yourself thinking it’s reinforcing your evidence through volume of repetition, and do not post a single reference, piece of evidence, or fact to back your assertions.

If you promote or defend the libertarian agenda, then you are supporting their agenda of abortion and homosexuality and their fight against conservatism and Christianity, and traditional America.

You could have hoped that before 1965 when we were a stable peoples, and capable of cycles, but the libertarian/ liberal immigration policy has ended that, now we are flooded with a never ending mass of foreigners, almost all democrat voters, who will never have any idea of the America pre-1960s, nor ever care, they never have and never will share the ideas, ideals, and faith, and social conservatism of the people who created this nation.

"You just sent me probably the most foul languaged freepmail that I have ever received, You can lay off that kind of thing. Combining your claim to Christianity using a ton of cuss words and nasty name calling, to defend a movement of pro-abortion gay marriage politics in that freepmail is beyond bizarre."

I'd be happy to post the entire Freepmail that includes the 2 abbreviated words that I changed in the public post in order to prove your lie. You are WAY over the line in making personal accusations and need to be moderated.

Libertarianism: has its warts, but is far, far better than Marxism

You don’t have to be socially liberal to be a libertarian. I’m pro-life and a Christian, and a libertarian. I believe abortion should be banned like all other forms of murder, and I believe the government shouldn’t be involved in marriage.

You can be Ted Kennedy and be personally opposed to abortion, but if you promote and support and defend libertarianism then you are promoting, supporting and defending their social liberal war against social conservatism and their efforts to drive it out of politics.

Well, someone stated that we do have the tenth to fall back on as a way of separating from bad fed law...
But I’m with you as far as what the libertarians stand for...the whole pkg is unacceptable to this conservative...and, in analysis, is gutless.

If a guy is OK with gay marriage, drugs

One is not "OK" with drugs because one recognizes that the only demonstrable effects of the War on Drugs are to hyperinflate drug profits, channel those profits into criminal and terrorist hands, and violate individual liberties.

Now, you can use different barometers...let’s take ACU for instance. They give Rand Paul & Rubio 100% conservative, but don’t give it to Ted Cruz.

ACU gave Mitch McConnell a 100 rating in 2012. So there you have it.

You should pay more attention to the post, rather than just the word “drugs”.

“”No, just look at how people vote.

People who are indifferent to or opposed to social conservatism, are democrat voters.

If a guy is OK with gay marriage, drugs, abortion, etc. then chances are overwhelming that he is a good liberal.

Get a guy that libertarians mock, a social conservative, regardless of his income, and he will almost always be a right winger, a real conservative.

Take any group of children and raise them as poor social conservatives, you get conservative voters, raise them with any income, low or high, accepting of drugs, hookers, gay marriage and abortion etc, and you will have bred a bunch of liberals.””

Howcome the Libertarians could only get a tiny percent of the vote and now they are the next big thing that will save the Republican party? The libertarians were invited into the Republican party by CPAC that is why they are there. They would still be a tiny third party if they had not been invited in by CPAC.

Just look at what illegitimacy is doing to the country, crime, welfare, broken relationships between the sexes and poverty. You need a strong and loving family to give children what they need to be happy, whole human beings. If anyone doesn’t understand that sex is the link between one generation and the next and doesn’t understand that the quality of the bond between man and woman is essential to having a sane and working society then they shouldn’t be anywhere near any position of power.

That remark shows how little you understand libertarianism.
