Agreed
They’ve been there for going on 200 years.
Well that’s about 50 too long.
The only hope, if any exists, is for all the unPC industries to migrate, with the unPC people to places like Texas and AZ. Then let the rest burn.
Wonder if our children and grandchildren will ever see America more like the boomers saw growing up in America.
You can't go back, but for today and tomorrow, let's try to get America somewhat back on track.
The problem is that so much has gone to rot that its tough figuring what to do.
Tea Party is maybe a good start.
We used to be a republican state. I don’t know what the hell happened here. These Demo rats have driven most of the Mfg. out of the state. I used to work at a dozen factories just in Hartford alone, Cushman chuck, Fuller Brush, Royaltype,Heublin,Stanadyne,Colts,Whitney Chain,Allen Mfg.,Mustad Nail, makers of everything from A-Z. They employed thousands of people. Guess how many Mfg. there are in Hartford now? ZIP,NADA. ZERO!Driven out by high taxes. crime and an increasingly dumber population. Of course the riots in the 60’s didn’t help. Now we are doing to the state what was done in Hartford. Remington GONE, Marlin GONE now if they can only get rid of Colt they will have a Trifecta! Can’t wait to get out of here, can’t happen soon enough!
I left in 93. Came back in 06 because my parents stayed and ended up needing help due to medical conditions. They’ve since passed on, but now I am kind of stuck with property and a still sluggish real estate climate.
And our stupid state (Conn) elected an idiot governor who decided to raise taxes on everyone and protect his union buddies. We’re already bleeding jobs, this is just going to be a high-profile loss for the state. Rightly in my opinion.
I have an uncle back there that wants out but owns property. The ugly truth comes down to how bad you want out vs. the hit you’ll take on the loss. Can’t speak for anyone and of course I’m already out...but take the hit and eat the loss. Because eventually the hit will just be that much more painful.
Easy to say. But that’s the reality. I do not envy you.
Valid, but far from complete. As an owner or even an employee of a freedom-oriented business, how can it not stick in your craw for fascist tyrants to derive benefit from your work? Every day you go to work, you enable their tyranny. How is it just that they get to be tyrants in general, and to demonize your industry and your customers specifically, yet still fund their government with the fruits of YOUR labors??? In world of principled people, they'd never see a dollar of yours. Not a penny. Not some dirt that used to be on a penny. You'd refuse to sell mail order into their state lest they derive some sales tax revenue.
Welcome home y’all
I came to Lackland AFB in 1957 and decided never to make my home north of the Mason-Dixon line again.
I kept my promise.
I don’t blame them at all. My grandfather worked there. I even worked there for a short bit.
I hope they take that beautiful dome with them.
When Colt started manufacturing, Connecticut was still the Constitution State.
No more.
Come to Texas! we are going to need arms makers here! If we can get the arms and ammunition factories to the red states it will give us a big advantage in the coming days!
Wisconsin is key to the defeat of Obamanation.
Keep up the good work!
RINO Ryan needs to submit budgets that cut baseline spending to keep pace with the rest of the progress being made in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin would be a great State for Colt to move their HQ to, with a branch office in TEXAS, of course!
He also wanted to tax fuel oil and propane that people use to heat their home with. Thankfully the legislature killed that off.
I think he is mad he hasn’t got some cushy job with Obama yet so he keeps trying to prove himself to 0.
It’s obvious that Connecticut doesn’t want Colt in their state. Colt needs to pull the plug and move to a more Constitution friendly state
