I would be more impressed with Colt refusing to sell firearms not allowed for citizens to government agencies.

Mississippi's Department of Economic Development is already on the case. They are courting Remington also and so far landed Olin (Winchester). Screw the NE. 150 years ago the South needed the industrial complex of the NE, not anymore. Matter of fact, the NE would starve if they had to depend upon themselves for food, gas, oil, and labour.

We used to be a republican state. I dont know what the hell happened here. These Demo rats have driven most of the Mfg. out of the state. I used to work at a dozen factories just in Hartford alone, Cushman chuck, Fuller Brush, Royaltype,Heublin,Stanadyne,Colts,Whitney Chain,Allen Mfg.,Mustad Nail, makers of everything from A-Z. They employed thousands of people. Guess how many Mfg. there are in Hartford now? ZIP,NADA. ZERO!Driven out by high taxes. crime and an increasingly dumber population. Of course the riots in the 60s didnt help. Now we are doing to the state what was done in Hartford. Remington GONE, Marlin GONE now if they can only get rid of Colt they will have a Trifecta! Cant wait to get out of here, cant happen soon enough!Ya but least you still have the Hartford Whalers... Oh wait they left too !
Seriously, I feel your pain, I left eons ago, and when I go back to CT and MA, they are shells of the manufacturing greatness they were. The gifted machinist / inventors I knew that have left or are pushing daisies is to large to count.
It is a miracle Pratt, Hamilton-Sunstrand & Sikorsky aka "UTX" hasn't picked up stakes and moved the whole shaboygan to someplace south of the Mason-Dixon Line....

And 700 workers that will not be paying union dues to the union...some unions are just too stupid to be believed. 700 people that will not be paying income tax to the state...some state governments are just too stupid to be believed. These are 700 workers and their family members that drive that will not have to deal with the Connecticut DMV, it's rudeness, and their outrageous fees...
Glenn Beck was right about his rant years ago about them, my experience with them was bit of a shocker as well...

I hope they do. It would be interesting to see what would happen to the blue states if and when the vast majority of arms manufacture here in the U.S. were to be located in red states, and then one day those companies just decide to no longer sell arms to the blue.
Hey, I can dream, can't I? While we're at it, I'd like to see the same for, say, food...

I’d love to see a red state bidding war to get Colt. “We’ll pay your moving expenses and not charge you taxes ever”.

Yes, I know of Mag-Pul. Damn proud of them. They threatened to leave if the anti-gun laws were passed in CO, and as soon as the Gov signed it, they announced immediate plans to leave the state. No "may" talk at all. They promised; they delivered.
My beef is with Colt in Connecticut. I've been reading about this "may" move threat for a couple weeks now. Now it's time to act.

I wonder how much financial/jobs damage would be “inflicted” on the States who seem to be OK chasing them out. I’d wager that they are willing to make the “sacrifice” in order to “purify” their States.

Colt has been there 175 years, before the Civil War was fought.

I had a driver’s license renewed at a satellite office in Stamford some years ago. It was entirely painless - no fee, and I received a renewed license less than an hour after walking in, not a piece of paper.
