The reason why NRA has grown so much is not LaPierre’s leadership. Gun grabbers are to blame, and that is YOU (Roger Simon) and you fellow unAmericans.

NRA is us. Try to defeat US.

> Wayne LaPierre may have more blood on his hands than Dracula,

The author is a twerp.

The ones with the blood on their hands are the elitist goons that created “gun free zones”, correctly understood by criminals and homicidal lunatics as “sitting duck zones.”

Meanwhile, the same elitist goons enjoy armed security where they work, where they play, where they eat, and when they travel.

Their unspoken motto is ...

Armed security for me and mine,
Gun-free zones for thee and thine.

They should be tried for treason for complicity in mass murder and then promptly hanged.

“LaPierre doesn’t always win. Bill Clinton, who knew how to speak to what were then called “Bubba” voters, beat him and signed an assault weapons ban in 1993.”

I think that was 1994, but regardless, LaPierre DID WIN that fight. First the “ban” was for 10 years, not permanent, and it wasn’t extended. And it also gave us a Republican House for over a decade, by sending HUGE NUMBERS of entrenched Democrats to their political graves. It also gave Republicans a lock on the South, which continues to strengthen.

Leave it to Politico to publish an article with outlandish claims by an author who basically says “I’m Roger Simon, and I am a brain dead wussy gun control advocate, and here’s my opinion without any statistics, nor any sources for them”.

Congratulations Politico for your consistancy.

Simon is a hagged out, intellectually devoid political hack from another era trying to stay relevant in the illogical, irrational Obama Cheerleading media today.

Say anything nasty, anything at all about the liberal dogma “harp of the day” and stay relevant. NRA is responsible for what? The hell you say!

I supposed the carnage in Africa over the last 100 years by tribe against tribe is the NRAs fault, too?

Get a life, get a real job....go for a walk or something (oh, you can’t - too busy spouting crap for money you don’t deserve so you can pay your healthcare bills now.).

The National Rifle Association has been the standard bearer for the Second Amendment for years, but also the standard bearer for training safe firearms handling for most of the LEO groups across America; for hunters - black powder, cartridge, concealed carry licensees, and archery; has been among those organizations condoning a “common-sense” idea of game conservancy and management; and lastly, a watchdog of elected officials and their stance on constitutional issues.

I have yet, in my 60 years of life, to see an anti-gun organization attempt to teach local, county/parish, and federal law enforcement officers how not to ‘Granny’, but to shoot the ‘bad guy’ that is next to her.

I have yet, to see one of those organizations propose ‘common-sense’ game conservancy and management, as a heritage to our future generations.

I have yet, to see one of those organizations provide a historical view of American firearms, and teach firearm safety, and marksmanship (which might be still a Scout badge), to our future generations.

That is the N.R.A.
- I - am the N.R.A.

It is just my personal belief that the NRA’s gun mania has led to the slaughter of thousands of innocent men, women and children in this country.

Yes a personal belief not backed by any documented facts.
Not too many gang bangers are NRA members nor have they ever heard of the NRA. Few criminals are likely to belong either as it is made up of so many police officers. Typical liberal horse shit speaking on an issue that the person knows nothing about.......

Which is more dangerous - an armed populace in a constitutional republic or a defenseless populace under an armed socialist government.

The "thousands" that may have died becasue of an armed populace doesn't compare with the TENS OF MILLIONS citizens that have died at the hands of their own Socialist governments.

The NRA did not create the deadly “gun free zones” where most of the mass murders seem to be happening.

NRA is not Wayne LaPierre. NRA is America.

These people don't get it - or choose to ignore it... the old commercial says it all:

"I am the NRA"

Forget the entire article, what is actually said isn’t the point. The point is to press the notion that the Left is fighting against the NRA, which is a false premise.

The Left is fighting against the Constitution, in this case the right to be armed, but in general individual liberty and the republican system of government.

This entire article and others like it, are just canards to create false enemies that they can then demonize. Apparently, the Left still finds that going after the liberties directly, on the merit alone, to be a losing proposition.

For every paid NRA member, there are 20 loyal Americans ready to defend the Constitution.

Roger would rather not consider that little fact.

Greg DeGiere used to claim that the Kahanes - father and son - had killed “countless” arabs.

The left are insane, and evil.

Hey Simon! Which civil right is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution? The right to keep and bear arms, or two men marrying each other?

If you're having trouble with the question posed, Roger, I'll send you a copy of the Constitution for a refresher course.
