New York's 92nd Street Y may be the premiere Jewish cultural institution in the country. So what's it doing offering the prestige of its stage to a rock star Jew-hater?

"According to the Facebook Page of the 92nd Street Y, on March 22, 1874, the Young Men's Hebrew Association was formed. But a quick look at its current website shows that Roger Waters, former front man for the rock group Pink Floyd, and currently one of the biggest haters of Israel outside of the Middle East, will be appearing at the 92nd Street Y late next month.

"Waters is one of the best known of the small group of celebrity advocates for the economic warfare movement against Israel known as the BDS movement. BDS stands for the boycott of, divestment from, and sanctions against the Jewish State of Israel.

"Not only does Waters refuse to perform in Israel, but he also delights in placing enormous pressure on colleagues in the arts world to renege after agreeing to perform in or for Israel."

As a white male rock star, Waters is the most privileged creature to ever roam the earth. Do the Jews really need to make it easier for him to help destroy them?

UPDATE: The 92nd St Y's website now says that the Roger Waters event has been postponed. Congratulations to Lori Lowenthal Marcus, whose reporting may have helped to quash this travesty. I'll keep you posted if "An Evening with Roger Waters" is rescheduled.

There appears to be something very wrong with many Jews with respect to their seemingly pied piper attraction to liberalism.

For every Feinman (brilliant) there are 1000 Bloomdorks.

A liberal - whether Jewish or not - is something to be reviled, expelled, and f*rted in the general direction of.

In that regard he’s got plenty of company in the Jews themselves. Many Jews must feel that ingratiating themselves to their haters they will stop hating them. Many have forgotten history!

It is an odd phenomena that all socialisms...be they communist, nationalist (as in NAZIs), or democratic, sooner or later become antisemetic. Even odder is the fact that Jewish peoples seem to be strangely drawn to such utopian visions on the Left, even as moths to a flame.

I just watched History Channel’s short documentary “Reich Rise” and even in the early 30s there were a few German upperclass/intellectual, well educated Jews SUPPORTING the Nazis....the National Socialists. They were sure that being loyal Germans, well-off and important—Hitler & goons would not touch them. Really quite unbelievable and beyond the phrase “naive.” More like totally, willingly, blind.

I think in the American context, Jews, like blacks, associate big central government as that which has liberated and protected them from individual bigotry—and that engrained in local and state governments.

Still it is a fact that—sooner or later—socialisms turn on minorities, especially Jews...and you’d think there would be an unlying awareness with Jewish people of that—and a healthy mistrust in strong governments.

After all, the millions and millions of Jews murdered in the 20th Century were NOT done by individual vigelantes acting on their own individualistic bigotry—rather all innitiated, organized and carried out by governments (the Nazis AND the Soviets) on an industrial scale.
